Flights to Kanpur

Situated on the banks of the holy Ganges, is north India’s industrial hub, Kanpur. Originally known as 'Kanhpur', the city is believed to be founded by King Hindu Singh of the erstwhile state of Sachendi. Once a paltry village, Kanpur is now a city of strategic importance. When to go

The best time to visit Kanpur is during the winter, between October and March. Summer is hot, long and dry. Chakeri Airport, Kanpur, has been operational since 1996. The airport is 12 kms from town. The only airline that flies to the city is Air India. However, people also use Amausi Airport, Lucknow, 65 kms away, to get to Kanpur city.
