She’s famous as the socialite wife of Smokin Joe’s Director Nirmal Momaya, but Chaya Momaya is in fact much-in-demand Personal Grooming Instructor. Her elegance and style make her the envy of the P3P junta. A die-hard Mumbaiya, she lets us in on five of her favourite eating places.
I am aMumbai’ ite to the tee. I swear it is the finest city to live in, in India. Mumbai with all its frills and flourishes strikes a perfect balance between fantasy and reality that makes it a class apart from all other Indian cities. It is the only place that offers something to every strata of society, from vada pav at a roadside dhabeli to caviar at the chicest of restaurants, Mumbai has it all.
With its umpteen restaurants, cafes, bars, and bistros, gorging on the finest of foods is a habit for all who stay here. Especially the Bollywood biggies! And Mumbai is just fine for their endless nightouts, lunches, parties and dinners.
Paradise for Me is
A place that has great ambience, allows me a bit of privacy, has soft mild music and great food complimenting it is for me paradise. The place needs to have a particular élan about it. It need not be different, but yes, there should be that one factor that should keep me drawn to it for good. My top five would certainly be:
Prive :
A recently opened nightclub in Mumbai. Its very French name means ‘private’, and the comfy cubicles certainly give you plenty of that. There’s great music in the background, and unbeatable cocktails, mocktails and starters.
My favourite :
Sushi. It is the tastiest I have had so far!

Zodiac Grill: Their service, ambience, and food are without equal! It’s a must, must visit.

Swati Snacks: If you are calorie conscious or on a diet, then this certainly isn’t the place for you. It serves authentic Gujarati food that is absolutely awesome. Its hustle-bustle gives you a feel of the pulse of Mumbai.
My favourite: Everything should be tried, especially the Gujarati curry and the vegetable dishes!

India Jones: This multicuisine restaurant offers everything. It’s a nice, quiet place with good food and a great variety to opt from.
My favourite: Black Pepper Tofu and Roasted Potatoes!

Tiffin: Again at the Hilton Towers, it’s a casual, comfortable place with fabulous music. It’s almost like chilling out in your living room. They serve delicious Goan food, seafood and Fuji food.
