Introduction
This is one of the most sought after temples in the region. As one approaches it, the first thing that strikes you is hundreds of bells hanging at the entrance. The legend of Gollu Devta gained momentum during the reign of Chand King who was known for his sense of justice. The ‘devta’ here is that king. People write letters to devta, seeking divine justice and thanking him for his wishes.
One of the rituals here is goat sacrifice. The event is marked by a synchronized chiming of hundreds of bells in unison. The shops near by sell all sorts of ritual accessories and trinkets.
