Introduction

Located opposite Don Francisco Resort on Candolim Beach, Jazz House is a hugely popular shack playing some great Jazz numbers after sunset. It could be very difficult to find a place here especially in the peak season of Christmas and New Year. The music is fantastic enough to motivate customers to slump on a rug on the floor while they make their pick from an array of Continental delicacies. The grilled lamb here is a must-try, complemented by some fine wine. After a hearty meal, proceed to the confectionary corner and try out their doughnuts and cakes. They do a good job of pastries too. Open till 12 in the night, Jazz House is a great place to lounge around, especially for Jazz aficionados, after a day out at the beach.

Connectivity

You can take a bus to Candolim from Mapusa and Calangute. The nearest interstate bus station is at Mapusa, which is the KTC bus station. Buses from Panjim stop frequently at the bus stand opposite Casa Sea Shell. A few also continue south to Fort Aguada Beach Resort. You can even hire a taxi or motorcycle taxi available easily.

Its best to carry INR currency while visiting any local restaurant, just to be on the safer side. Many of these places do not accept credit cards. Besides, sunset is the best time to visit this shack as it plays great Jazz numbers then.
