Initially developed as a theme restaurant, the Village has grown to become an attraction it self. Its mud huts, camel rides, traditional barbers, fair games, and food stalls are reminiscent of an older and simpler Rajasthan. A visit to the Chokhi Dhani Village is a must. An ethnic village, Chokhi Dhani Village recreates the magic of Rajasthan’s colorful villages and serves as a platform for traditional artisans to interact and showcase their culture and handicrafts to tourists.

As you enter the Village, its many colors and sounds invite you in to join the revelries. Spread across 10 acres, Chokhi Dhani features many mud huts that serve as shops and little theaters for puppeteers and dances as well as larger concrete structures that usually house restaurants.

The Village offers a glimpse into almost every aspect of traditional Rajasthani life, such as the festivities of a village fair. The décor and ambiance reflect the simple beauty of a prosperous village. Machaans and platforms dot the area, charpais or rustic cots are laid out, and walls of the mud houses are decorated with colorful paintings.

You can tour the village on foot, with stops for a camel or elephant rides. The more adventurous can take a tour on the horse- or bullock-cart. The many shops of the Village offer traditional goodies, such as hand-printed textiles or other handicrafts. There is also a photo studio, where you can get dressed in the traditional garb and get your picture taken.

The entertainment at the village includes magic and puppet shows, acrobatics, and many Rajasthani folk dances. Other attractions include a giant board to play snakes-and-ladders, maze, and an artificial forest which includes the local predators.

The highlight of the village is the restaurant. It offers an unmatched selection of the best Rajasthani cuisine. You can opt for the more traditional sit down dinner, where turbaned waiters joyfully overfill your plate, or the more staid buffet where you can may be control how much to eat.
