Introduction

Spread out over 30 acres and about 300 meters (1000 feet) above sea level, Veega Land is an amusement part with a difference, for it finely combines nature, creativity and technology. Amusing fun seekers, adventure enthusiasts and leisure travelers, Veega Land offers 26 thrilling water slides, dancing musical fountain, auditoriums with live shows, floral gardens, beautiful promenades, sparkling blue pools, six restaurants and a wave pool. And you are welcomed inside by Ammu, a baby elephant. A tour of Veega Land feels like a fairytale adventure, what with a seven-storied Vintage Castle and a charming Caterpillar Village to capture your imagination.

The amusement park is located in the small town of Pallikara in the Ernakulam district, and is within a reasonable travel distance of Kumarakom to make daytrip a possibility. There are various facilities here extended to physically challenged people, although the park doesn’t offer any overnight stay facility. But you can find accommodation in the nearest hotel located a 10-minute drive away at Kakkanad.

Veega Land has a dash of village architecture and is spruced up with lush gardens. There is a round-the-clock assistance to put you at ease while exploring this fun-filled theme park. Feel the surge of adrenalin as you slide down the 1150-foot-long (345 meters) roller coaster inside the fairy castle. You can even try out the 35-foot (10.5 meters) fall from the revolving cave in a water splash boat. The 14,000 square feet wave pool producing giant waves from 10 lac liters of water, is a very popular attraction at the park. The wave pool mostly remains speckled with holidaymakers enjoying a splash. A major drawcard is the 500-seater theatre with a modern musical fountain that makes a lovely display of lights, colors and rhythm.

Among other popular rides, there is Balarama Cave – a computer controlled ride that takes you through a dark cave where you are ambushed by wizards, witches and ghosts. Wonder Splash is also great fun; feel the adrenaline pump as you sit in a long boat and sneak into the mysteries of water. Of food courts and bars, there is the Valley View restaurant, where you can enjoy a meal amid lush greenery. Vintage Kitchen restaurant adjacent to Vintage Castle and Balarama Cave does a smattering of North Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisine. If you hold ambience supreme, Spice Garden restaurant is the place for a quiet candlelight dinner around the musical fountain. Wood House also has a unique atmosphere – set in a tree house with wooden furnishings. While Waves Restaurant located by the Wave Pool offers you a seaside lunching experience.
