Introduction
Nehru Kund is a beautiful cold water spring named after India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, about 6 kilometers (3.75 miles) from Manali, on the Manali-Keylong road. It is believed that the former Prime Minister loved to visit this place and drink the crystal-clear water from the spring whenever he stayed in Manali. Even today Nehru Kund attracts travelers for its scenic beauty, serene atmosphere and lush greenery. The clean water of the spring is said to have its source at the Bhrigu Lake situated high up in the mountains. The sound of bubbling water amidst the quietude of the dense wilderness is like music to the ears, and leaves you enthralled. Stroll around the area, take pictures, listen to the nature and soak up its beauty.
