Introduction
A visit to Naini Lake is incomplete if you don’t enjoy a boat ride in its emerald waters. A popular pastime with locals and tourists alike, boating at Nainital takes on an entirely different meaning when it is done at Naini Lake. The ring of mountains surrounding the lake, the shimmering waters dotted with ducks, and the colorful boats and yachts bobbing with the current make for the most scenic surroundings.
Hire a paddle boat from the Nainital Boat Club, which is located on the shores of the lake and enjoy the picturesque views as you drift slowly across the lake from one end to the other, with no one but your travel partners to disturb your communion with nature. Visitors have a range of paddle boats to choose from and can hire them at either ends of the lake – Mallital and Tallital. The boats are available on an hourly basis and are equipped with lifejackets, which everyone aboard has to don.
