Introduction
Located in the heart of the city in Bharathidasansan Salai, the Government Museum is a treasure trove of rare bronze and stone sculptures from different dynasties that ruled Tamil Nadu. Take a closer look at the depictions of Gautam Buddha, Mahavir and Lord Vishnu. They are remarkable for their ingenuity. The place sees a lot of art and sculpture enthusiasts from within the country and outside. An interesting stopover, this!
The museum is housed in the Rani Mangammal Mandram or Town Hall, about a kilometer from Chataram bus stand, Trichy.
