"8 fantastic days"

Following 8 days in Mumbai we decided to look for a quiet carefree retreat on an unhurried beach in Goa and came across Dwarka. If you're looking for a sophisticated resort with structure this is not it, Dwarka is an intimate piece of paradise hiding in a natural beautiful location. Life is unhurried and where service comes without boundaries. There is nothing that the team will not do for you. The drive to Dwarka is interesting, the taxi drivers will beep at everything and nothing, expect at least 300 of these on the one and a half journey from the airport. Once you've been suitably bounced around for the last 10 minutes of the journey, you will arrive. As you walk down natural stone steps down to the sweet water river, you will see how special this location is. The resort is spaciously laid out on both sides and I would recommend Cottage A, B and G for it's open views of the river to the sea. For the jungle feeling ask for a higher cottage. The meals are simple, plentiful and excellent with a good range of fresh fish, chicken and vegetable dishes. If you fancy something different, just ask as they are always happy to accommodate or improvise. The resort buys everything fresh a number of times a day as they do not run fridges, so bear in mind they may need notice if they do not have the ingredients. There are a couple more small resorts on Cola beach and a small bar. Agonda is very close for shopping and the busier beach life, the resort will happily order taxis to take you around. Mobile phone signal is pretty non-existent but WiFi is currently being installed to be able to keep in touch. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.Read More
