Stay here only for the location...!

This was almost my 10th visit to Goa and on all my previous visits to Goa, I used to look at this property and marvel at the look and location and wonder when I would stay here. It finally happened on my recent holiday to Goa, considering its a trip I made with my family and not with friends, like the previous times. But as they say, all that glitters is not gold. We were allotted our room on the 1st floor in the rear side of the property. My mom suffers from chronic pain in her feet and legs so we promptly requested them to change our room. All our pleas fell on def ears as the management kept telling us they had no availability. We were to stay there for 3 days so on a promise by the management that we would be informed incase there is a ground floor availability, we checked in. Next morning a few of our friends who were staying in the beach cottages at the same property were checking out vacating 5 rooms. But on getting in touch with the reception staff, we still got the same answer "no room". Their entire team seemed to totally disregard, disrespect and be insensitive towards their guest's health issues and limitations. Apart from this, the hotel failed to impress on many other fronts. Maintenance of property is bad, the staircase leading to our room was full of dust and cobwebs. The room balcony railing was rusted. Buffet menu was extremely limited with only Indian Cuisine, no starters or live counters. Food mostly tasted bland and almost all our meals tasted the same. We wanted to get a printout of our air tickets but discovered that their business center has NO PRINTER!!! As a result, we had to travel 5 kms. to find a cyber cafe! All in all, the resort just wins on account of its unbeatable location in the heart of Baga Beach and an inhouse casino. Look around more and you'll find much better properties.Read More
