The Leela Goa

We stayed at Leela Goa this week for three nights. This is our first visit to Goa, We wanted a luxury holiday and we were not disappointed. After reading the previous reviews we knew what to expect from Leela Goa, Being so hot and humid, we decided to spend all the days at Leela. Staff are good overall, food is good. One of the chefs at Jamavar restaurent even made a special combo of Indian varieties for us. we also had a Goan special thali which was fantastic. The breakfast buffet seems to be repetitive. We wish the buggy service was quicker. Rooms are clean and housekeeping are fantastic. It will be good if they can give Leela souvenir for free to couples. When we were leaving, met a group at Airport who just stayed at Holiday Inn. They got a small goodie bag with packed lunch which was great and hope Leela can do something like this.

A place to relax, enjoy, cherish ur old memories like cycling & other in house games which we forget in the fast routine life, enjoying the water sports, watch ur kids making the Pizzas, enjoying all water bodies like pool, riverside, lagoons & of course crowd free beach, excellent hospitality, Different Cuisines, Nature walk, games & activities for kids. More over the systematic way to keep u update about the activity. It seems Leela is willing to make the people feel that Dear one you are really on holidays..Just be relaxed. The property is a good combination of indo western culture.

I would like to thank all management and staff for such a wonderful holiday. The Leela is paradise. The staff, food, rooms are all exceptional. This hotel is in 70 acres of beautiful surroundings, it is so peaceful. The pool is very nice, the beach is beautiful and the restaurants are top class. We were very impressed. We have travelled all over the world and have to say the Leela is one of the best hotels and the friendliest we have come across. We will for sure be back. We went to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday, and the management and staff made the day very special .

This hotel has a few hundred rooms spread out over a wide area. I stayed not far from the lobby but some guests are further away. But there are regular electric golf cars zipping around to whisk guests across the resort. So do check where you will be staying if you don't like walking. The beach is fabulous. I had two massages in the Leela Spa and I would rate the quality of massage as outstanding. I had breakfast in one of the hotel restaurants called The Restaurant which is really a smart coffee shop. Breakfast was excellent with a huge variety of Western and Asian offerings. I did not like the background music which I thought was too loud. But that is personal preference. I also dined on the beach and was impressed with the hotel beachside restaurant food. Room service was also efficient and again the quality of the offerings was very much to a 5 star standard. I stayed in a wonderful room. I think it was a standard room but I was impressed with the overall decor, the bed etc. Again a five star offering. The lobby is huge and I think lacks character. It could do with a really good hotel shop with all the basics including some books, sun creams, Indian clothes etc. Otherwise it is a walk or cab ride off the property to the nearest shops. Overall I had a really lovely long weekend stay. I will go back.

We did not stay at the Leela (although we wished we had), but played a game of golf on their par-3,12-hole golf course by the sea. A game (including green fees and clubs, balls, tees and carry bag hire) costs approx USD$35 pp. This sounds a bit expensive for a game of golf in India, but the location is absolutely breathtaking and the service from Leela staff was excellent.
