"An Excellent Property in the Heart of the City"

Marigold by Greenpark was a surprisingly refreshing change from the very standard business hotels that have mushroomed in all IT cities. Located in the heart of the city, close to Hussain Sagar, main commercial areas, Secundarabad and reasonably well located to go to Hitech city, the hotel is built on a fairly large plot of land. There is nil disturbance from the traffic. Reception is efficient and takes very little time to complete the formalities. The outward facade is simple and does not promise much. Inside is much better. Again the rooms are rather simple, but I think that is its USP. Rooms are quite spacious and the ones that face outwards are nice and bright. Still on the whole, the property is below 5 star level on this count. Where the hotel scores is service. That was 5 star indeed. While I did not try room service other than bed-tea, which was very prompt and generous, the other services like laundry, housekeeping and travel desk were very efficient, friendly and warm. The food is very good. Buffet for all three meals was included in my package and was more than adequate. They also served any additional dishes that were asked like cold coffee (very good) and pizzas (quite good). The service in the restaurant is exceptional. The pool is located on the terrace, is small but a fun place (i was with friends). The terrace itself has a good sitting area for leisure reading or just sunning (in Hyderabad !!!.. it was early Jan). The Gym is small but adequate. Not too many people frequented it. On the whole a warm and friendly place. The staff will try to help you with any and every problem. Tip if you like, the staff will certainly not make you uncomfortable if you don't. Prices for laundry and room service are quite low and reasonable. Two sets of tea for just Rs100/-. But if you like absolutely snobbish environment, cold blooded efficiency and aloof staff... I can suggest alternatives in town. While I was there the hotel handled some large groups also. They seemed to be pretty good at that also.Read More
