"Nearest hotel from Jaipur railway station and very comfortable"

I stayed at Raya inn with my family for a night on the way to Jaisalmer in January 2014. We had no plans to stay at Jaipur before heading to Jaisalmer, hence we had made no prior bookings. Due to the delay in the train schedule, we decided to stay at the first available hotel. Raya inn is just outside the Jaipur railway station. The hotel looked OK from outside and we didn't have much high hopes about the hotel as many a times, amenities near railway and bus stand are average. The hotel manager charged us with 2000/- per night for a deluxe A/C room, which appeared more based on the looks from the outside. Also the staff took nearly an hour to complete the booking formalities. There was a bit of confusion when he said that they don't accept PAN cards as identity proofs. We had to browse though our internet mails to get a copy of our passports. Anyways, after an hour we finally got a room, just to see that it just the opposite of what I had thought. Very clean room, working A/C, fully loaded fridge(off course you had to pay for the items), bright clean bathroom and a big LCD with tatasky. What more could we have asked for after a tiring journey from Mumbai to Jaipur. The food at the restaurant was also good and not priced exuberantly. Overall a very good stay at Raya Inn and definitely recommend this hotel to all my friendsRead More
