Nice Resort- Could have done better
by Architca on May 20, 2016
Here is the summary of my visit. We were 2 couples with 2 kids. We took two Bedroom Luxury Pool & Spa Villa ( JACARANDA) from 15/05/16 to 18/05/16 at INR 30000 inclusive of breakfast, lunch, dinner and taxes for 4 adults and 2 children below 5 years. The rate was per night per villa. Although the rate seems to be on a higher side considering few facts which I will just narrate in a moment. Let me start with what I found was missing or could have been there to make it a much memorable trip which I sought for. 1) Non-availability of reasonable accommodation for driver.Although for few it could not be that important. In this scorching heat and that to in Rajasthan I think a reasonable accommodation could have been made available. Our driver almost cried over the accommodation. 2) Swimming pool is very well maintained most of the times however they lack in basic pool accessories like safety clothing , water tubes , play balls etc etc. These are must to have when kids are around. I was stunned when I got no as an answer to my demand for tubes and balls. 3) The Villa has 2 rooms. One room was in the basement and other one above it. There was difference in the beds which were provided. The one above the basement had small bed which cannot accommodate 2 adults and one kid. They had no explanation to this and all they have to offer was additional bedding. I think if they expect guest to turn out with there kids, least they can do is to have bed which can accommodate a small family. Although the room below has been designed with much spacious bed. 4) Air conditioning ( trust me this is something which cannot be ignored if you are in Rajasthan) too was far far better in the room below. I dont know why such difference is there although they are part of one Villa 5) The so called personal pool is pretty small in size. As they claim , they clean the pool once in every ten days. Cleaning here means pulling the water out , cleansing of tiles and refill. Once in ten days ? So if the guest check in between are they suppose to dip in dirty pool? 6) Food / beverages are really expensive , an Indian made pint of beer is being charged Rs 500+ taxes. 7) The girl at the reception looks little confused whenever you ask something to her.Like she had no idea about in room dining although she knew that my package included all meals. 8) Wifi doesnt work most of the times and so as phone connections other than Airtel. Things which I liked about this resort 1) Amazing food. Indian / continental / Chinese / Local Rajasthani., I tried them all. Brilliant preparation. 2) Amazing room service with a smile on the face. Trust me its hard to maintain that smile in 46 degree heat. I must compliment the ground staff, They were awesome.Be it people who deliver food or those who were involved with room cleansing. 3) Checkout was fairly quick. Thanks Archit

Wow! What a fabulous place. Excellent hospitality. Excellent food. Excellent services. Excellent amenities. We had 3 rooms for the price of one. The living area, the bedroom itself and the bathroom even bigger than the bedroom. We had the villa with the private pool. The pool itself was worth the entire trip. My son had so much fun, just didn't want to get out. There's a little garden at the front and the back. There's loungers by the pool side and it gets even better. There were spa beds in that garden and we got a spa in our garden without having to bother about where would we leave our kid. The spa itself was so good and relaxing. Kudos to the spa team. The food was delicious throughout our stay. The chef had a special menu prepared for us and came to discuss it and was willing to incorporate our suggestions. We had the food in our room itself. The breakfast was again great. Credit to the entire restaurant team. The resort is located about 7 kms off the Jaipur highway and google maps will not show you the best possible way. It's located in the midst of village with good views all around. I got up early in the morning and got to see many different birds which you don't see in the city. They have an infinity pool with a view of the hills. The rooms were clean, had a coffee maker and a sound system with speakers everywhere. Had a really great experience, will visit again.

It was really nice to experince 5 star hospitality at a reosrt near to jaipur. from check in every moment i felt as if i made a right decision for celebrating my wife birthday here. We took luxury pool villa and believe me it is worth, well maintained small swimming pool for family where u can have ur own privacy in our villa itself. surrounded by lush green trees, grass all round. Its total peace here. Resort swimming pool is big enough and situated at a very good location with a view of full resort and also the hills surronding the resort. Dinner was delicious and was served in the villa itself on special request. Breakfast was super and i can say that it was one of my best breakfast ever had in any 5 star hotel or resort. staff was courteous and well behaved. It is worth visiting even if you are a small family consisting of husband, wife and child no companions required at all and if u really want to have relaxed and get peace of mind do travel as couple or family. overall 5 stars in everything
Beautiful property, great food!

Our stay at the Tree of Life was lovely, the grounds are peaceful and beautifully arranged and the service friendly. It is a good choice when looking for a peaceful alternative to staying in Jaipur itself. The food was incredible, a nice touch that you viewed the dinner menu in advance and chose the dishes for the evening either Indian or Western. They were very accommodating with easy meals for our children's tastes as well. The hotel kindly helped to arrange a brief visit to the school just down the road where we had the chance to meet a few of the classrooms and experience life in the village. I just wanted to note that for families with young children, be aware that the 2 bedroom villas are not set up so that the bedrooms are in one connected space. The villa is set up so that the second bedroom and bathroom are accessed via a set of outdoor stairs so that the 2 units are actually separate. I wish this had been explained when I was communicating with the reservations team who knew the ages of our children. Unfortunately when you have little ones, this doesn't work and we were forced to have everyone in one bedroom in the end and not using the 2nd bedroom/bathroom at all. Our villa faced a beautiful setting of the neighbouring fields which provided us with a lovely view but also an audience at times as well!
if just one couple go for room at the basement. If travelling with bigger family you need to layout your requirements very carefully

Go for the pool villas for an ultimate experience, if you are traveling with family, go for 2 bedroom pool villa called JACRANDA villa.

As the resort is placed on the side of quite a steep hill, I had trouble climbing all the steps up to our suite, but well worth the effort!
