    I stayed in the De Sovrani on a business trip for little more then a week, I had a very pleasant stay from warm welcomes from the front desk to all the stuff every day, amazing food with lot of choices (5 out 5 rating) and I was lucky enough to stayed over the Bangali new year, restaurant was decorated in traditional themes with authentic food to the occasion. I must appreciate the staffs friendliness which makes you feel home !! Special thanks to Sanchari for her hospitality! I strongly recommends this hotel and do try food in the restaurant. I will come back for sure!

    We were there for an Orthopedic Conference one evening,and I personally didn't stay there . Car parking : Huge ,and in front of the hotel. Valets were there but I parked right in front of the hotel gate myself. Inside decor: Nice but looks old fashioned and probably haven't been changed since inception Food: Not the hotel's strongest point. Very average taste and average menu. Overall,an average hotel. Choose for a night or two ,only if you are coming to the city and have work near Salt Lake area

    Stayed for 1 night at this hotel. The name sounds a bit off place. Could not find its meaning. About half an hour drive from the airport. Checkin comfortable. 2 lifts available. Rooms adequate for a couple. Neat and tidy. Free wifi. Good connectivity. Beds very comfortable. Had a good sleep. Had dinner in the in-house restaurant. Buffet option. Reasonable priced approx Rs. 950/-. Very tasty veg food. Had a hearty dinner after a long time in a hotel restaurant. Surprisingly I was put up in a room with a disable friendly bathroom as seen in the photos. Probably due to no rooms being available. But really admire the management to built bathrooms for the disabled. Will surely stay again the next time.

    There are so many things going wrong at De Sovrani, just unbelievable. I had a few days of business in Salt Lake area and took this hotel on recommendation of a business partner who had no clue about what is going on here. My room (7003) which I had stayed at for four nights wasn't clean at all. In fact, there were stains in the bathroom and on the linen and pillows, dirt in edges of the flooring and, as you can also see in the pictures that I added, the overall appearance is rundown and in some terms disgusting. Also a lamp did not work at all, others got loosen and either haven't been fixed properly or just by putting some carton behind the decorative screen. The Room Division Manager Mr Abhijit Bose, his female colleague from the reception tried to help with the room issues and kept asking what exactly needs to be done so that they can improve which I found nice, actually. At least thanks for taking care in some ways! Mr Bose asked me whether he could do me some favour to make me comfortable and as I haven't had food after a day of work I asked him to send me some food to the room. After all this I thought this might be a complimentary gesture. The surprise came during check out and I will come back to this at the end of my review. The breakfast room was way to cold and windy (A/C max.) and had not much to offer in terms of continental food. Just two types of toast, some honey, sausages or bacon. Also the floor was dirty next to my table with leftovers. No one really cared or actively asked what they could offer me. There was not even cheese available in the buffet. When I asked for that, they brought me exactly one slice of packaged cheddar from the kitchen, so that I had to ask again to get at least two slices. Just ridiculous. The cappuccino was good, but also here I had to ask. The dispenser for juice looked so filthy that I decided not to use it. The overall experience finally made me decide not to go here again for breakfast and so I went to City Centre Mall instead, even that I had to pay there. One day I actually had to work in my room, but in the afternoon the internet, which was included in the room tariff, did not work and so I had to wait. Also I got some heavy problems in Germany another day which I needed to clarify, but no international calls were available that time. Interesting thing is, that for the internet problem as well as for the telephone the staff firstly imputed that the mistake must be some operating error on my side before agreeing that it's a general problem of the hotel by checking back. They offered me three other rooms, two of them were in a similar bad condition and the third one was actually well-kept (all the same category as mine). But as the better room could only be offered in the third night of my stay I decided to stay at my room as I had to work and did not want to waste time by pack everything together and unpack the same stuff afterwards for only two more nights. Also small things happend, e.g. I gave some laundry and asked to bring it back on a hanger (especially for the shirts to avoid folds). All items came back folded and at least have been ironed once again for me after complaining. It was better then, but still the ironing has been done quite bad. One day they forgot to put enough toilet paper or a bath math. At least water (Kinley) was there always and free of charge. The day when I had to check out three additional things have happened which actually made me decide to never choose this hotel again and warn everybody to avoid going there, even if they would fix all those problems. Firstly: I gave the breakfast a second chance after I discussed the situation with Mr Bose. When I went there a snooty guy named by "Avi" came to me - not to greet me as a guest, but to just ask "Room Number?" Quite inapproriate behavour. And he kept going. As there (again) wasn't any cheese available at the buffet I asked for two slices. They brought me cheese shreds. I complained asking whether they could just bring me packaged slices again as last time for putting it on my toast. Avi came and just said "This is also cheese!" - So what ??? I have asked for SLICES and don't want to discuss this any further! I was so upset that I actually wanted to ask him whether he might have chosen the wrong job but I didn't. Instead I left after I finished. Secondly: I wanted to go up to my floor by elevator after my breakfast experience. The elevator then suddenly stopped and went down to lobby level starting to show "out of service" in the digital display. At lobby level it stopped and the doors kept closed, so that I had to rang the emergency bell until some hotel staff opened from the outside trying to explain me how to use my key card properly. I am not dumb! I tried to explain what REALLY happened. Don't know whether he got that or not. Thirdly: When I finally checked out I had to pay my laundry AND THE FOOD I have had in the room. When I was asking if this is actually some mistake the lady told me that there's already 20% off due to my entire situation. Well, THANKS a lot guys! You have so much to learn about customers treatment... Actually I planned to give 2-3 points, but these things at the very end of my stay speak for themselves.

    Well appointed rooms. Complimentary Wifi and good breakfast spread. In my room, the AC had some noise but it was passable. The welcome cookies and chocolates were a great touch along with the toilet accessories to make the stay comfortable. Good choice if you have work in Salt Lake Area
