Hyatt Regency

I have stayed two nights 15 and 16 May in Hyatt Regency , Kolkata. It is a nice hotel in modern architectural feat, though a bit away from the downtown.the physical amenities are simply excellent. But I experieced security slackness and poor service in restaurants and in room. Chefs need to be more trained, and needs to be more courteous. The Regency Club service needs to be upfraded and food quality to be improved. Sorry to say, not a good value for money, compared to Grand Oberoy or Taj Bengal.

Hyatt Kolkata. Just a place you want to be when your are on business travel near salt lake area. Amazing entrance, full of greenery. The morning breakfast spread is great. Not sure it must be a coincidence that I have always met celebrities here during my stay.

The moment we stepped out of the car, the staff was there to welcome us. Biki from the front desk escorted us in and we felt very welcome. The young lady doing the check-in was very pleasant and professional. Biki was again making sure our needs were met. I believe he must have been the front desk manager. Then we were escorted to our room and our luggage arrived soon after. The room was impeccable: clean comfortable and modern. The channel selection was excellent including both Western and Indian channels. I unexpectedly had to add a day to my stay due and even though the hotel was full, I was accommodated. The breakfast selection and quality was excellent. The gym was pleasant with a beautiful view of the pool area. The service at the Spa was also good. Overall a wonderful experience at the Hyatt Kolkata characterized by excellent service. I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed one night on business, room was available for an early morning check in following an early morning flight from Dehli? Hotel was good, clean, friendly, fully functioning, with no complaints. Staff were friendly and helpful and it was an oasis of calm in the midst of Kolkata. Check-out next morning at 5am was smooth, efficient and quick. I liked the bar especially compared to other 5* hotels in different cities encountered later on the trip. However for me as a 5* hotel the rooms felt a little dated or in need of a refresh/upgrade.

Recently I and my family spent 4 days in Kolkata and we stayed at Hyatt Kolkata. I also ahd a small event for about 50 peole there. Hyatt kolkata was great both for the stay and for the event that I had there. The place is beautiful, the location is convenient and the staff incredibly helpful. This is my place of choice in Kolkata.
