The River Crescent Resort

had a huge group of students travelling to manali. the location is superb when you really have to visit in January as it snows heavily and there is no way to go beyond this hotel. the staff is pretty cordial.. the food and the F&B staff is amazing with delicious food (pure vegetarian) problems faced. - water heating is always a problem. lift some times it works some time it wont. indeed a comfortable stay and highly recommended.

Very nice room and delicious breakfast, environment is very clean with fresh air. They have 2 very cute ducks in a pond too! Services provided are excellent. The only drawback is the location is a bit far from other places around in Manali, a car is required for travelling. Overall, this hotel is highly recommended.

Reached the Hotel which is 4 Km's before MANALI at 11 in the night. The Resort was recomended by a relative and was happy he did, and we stayed here for 4 nights on MAP. The temperature was freezing outside and the manager welcomed us with a swift checkin to our heated room. He also asked if we needed dinner to be cooked, which we did not want as tired after the long journey. On first views in the morning we were mesmerized by the beauty of the place. The beas river flowing and snow capped mountains visible from the window was enchanting. The hotel itself is a good 4* property with excellent hospitality and dining services. The Reception and waiting areas are beautifully done. The rooms were quite big and spacious with a small Dining,Dressing and Centre Table/Chairs. They were spotless and warm with the central heater. The bathrooms were clean and with a bathtub, though the hot water was available only from 7 to 10 in morning and evening. The House keeping staff was good and the toiletries and towels supplied were excellent. The Minibar/Fridge was OK and of not much use as every thing is always chilled :) Satellite TV was working excellent. The Beds were huge and very comfortable with Excellent Quality Linens. Restaurant serves Delicious and Quality ONLY VEG food. They also serve Jain Food on request a must for my family. The food was tasty and the spread was huge, both during Breakfast and Dinner. Since only few guests every thing was served on the table. The polite staff was ready to serve anything on the menu for breakfast or dinner. The much needed energy to enjoy snow and bear the cold temperature, was provided by these sumptuous meals. They also provide Table tennis and Pool Facilities, but we were most of the time outdoors. Conference room, Banquet Room and also a bar is on the offer. Ample Hotel Parking space and a few General stores outside the hotel makes this a very convenient location to stay during heavy snowfall on MALL ROAD and enjoy Manali. We did experience snow fall on our checkout morning and were thrilled. They also packed huge loads of complimentary breakfast for us. Definitely would recommend to friends and relatives and will be staying here next time.

We stayed there for just one night on 19.01.2013. Resort was looking pretty good from outside. Lobby was pretty big. Its a very average kind of hotel. Room size is big. Heater service was poor. Bathroom was very average kind of. The hotel has a restaurant but quality and taste of food is awful. Room charge was more than the facilities and services provided.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in November 2012. Good hotel managed very badly. Has very good responsive helpless staff. Room heating and hot water facility awful. Upkeep poor and no maintenance. Rooms were not checked before allotting. Bath room door cannot be closed. It was a miserable experience on the first day. After undertaking strenuous road travel when we checked in lot of issues in the allotted room. We have to change two rooms. Staff were helpless due to lack of resources. Not fit to be called as even two star facility.
