Dinner at @svenska, Miro lounge. Review - It started with me looking for a buffet dinner place for my girlfriend's birthday on a Saturday 29th March 2014. Having already visited global fusion (bandra and andheri), China gate, mainland China lots of times, I wanted to try something different. The hoardings around juhu do speak about Svenska's miro lounge. I called them up and enquired about it but I forgot to book it. When I reached there on 29th March, I was informed that I don't have a booking. The tables were full. But i remembered speaking to sumitra who is the GRE. She realised it was a special day for us and that our evening was going from bad to worse and she decided to intervene. She made us sit in the lobby for 5 minutes and arranged a special table for us. We were more than happy with the gesture. As we settled ourselves it looked more like a fine dining resturant than a buffet. The soup was OK, prawns garlic was succulent, rawas fry was good (but I prefer my fish fry spicy, maybe it's just the Manglorean in me.) the lamb was juicy, Malai tikka was a lil dry. We ordered for some momos, they were filled with meat but nice and light.Which generally isn't the case with other places. I skipped the Indian chat. The best thing about the buffet were the freshly baked pizzas. I asked for just a slice but they got me the whole pizza. Trust me in a buffet I finished the whole pizza. It was one of the best pizza I have had in mumbai. Did not try much of the main course. But did taste a lil bit of butter chicken with freshly cooked breads. The desserts were like they are in a buffet. Sweet and yummy. The assistant manager SAGAR Sonawane was at his top game. He kept checking with us throughout the dinner if everything was OK. I should say it was perfect. They also gifted us a bottle of sparkling wine as it was my girlfriend birthday. Loved the evening. Thank you sagar and sumitra.
