Hotel Deep

During our visit to Mussoorie in October, 2012, we stayed in holiday home rooms in Deep Hotel. As far as the location of the hotel is concerned, our experience was just great. From the room and the balcony we could have a magnificent view of the hills. The weather being clear, from the roof we could see the snow capped Himalayas. The rooms were also very good. Room service was also very good. But during the two days we spent there the lift in the hotel did not work in the morning time owing to low voltage. But during the evening time it worked fine. The food was also very good. The behaviour of the caretaker was very nice. As a whole our overall experience was very good.

First of all, this is NOT in the main locality of Mussourie, that is near Mall Road and so easily accessible by your own vehicle. It's located at a relatively high point and we were advised to employ the services of rickshaws to get there even though we had our own vehicle. So we did. This place is nicely perched on top of one of the many hilltops which comprise Mussourie. Hence, the view from this property, especially at night, is breathtaking. However, enter the hotel and the sight is not so pretty. Our room was very very basic- we were glad we were staying only one night. The bathroom had running water thankfully. I could tell the blankets were not clean enough as a result of the dust allergy which i contracted. But overall, it's a strictly no-place-else-to-go sort of a hotel to crash in. Further, there is no parking area in that locality so make arrangements regarding that. We had ordered room service dinner which was okay. They served food in cute looking tumblers and the portions were standard. Nothing to write home about, but nothing to complain about either. We had one friendly staff member helping us out through out who was sort of apologetic about the poor state of affairs. Another staff member was quite the "hey, this place is not a star hotel so don't expect any better from" sorts. Anyhow, all in all, the view is gorgeous, so distract yourself if you do find yourself in this hotel!

it was a pathetic hotel i have ever seen in my life.....i had booked through cleartrip it was cheap however when we entered the room it was really unbearable....i would really suggest if you guys planing to pay less then go otherwise......its not even worth Rs500 for a day

Though it is very much on Mall Road but service, cleanliness and promptness and politeness of staff is terrible. They don't listen to your calls for room service. We stayed there with family and friends. Basic rooms and small washrooms. They don't have parking, so if you are coming by your own vehicle mind it.

Positives: Room was good and the view was fantastic. Deluxe room is good but is on the costlier side. Food is good at the hotel. Staff was good and quite helpful. Location is ideal, right next to the mall road, 2 mins walk to the mall road. They guide you on all your queries regarding car services, location etc. Negatives: House Keeping is pathetic, bedsheets, pillow covers, etc. were all dirty. They did not have towels due to bad weather (basic necessity in any hotel). You need to ask for hot water every time you need it. House Keeping is not organized at all, no one comes to clean the room until you ask 20 times. Overall Good Job! Only thing I feel needs improvement is House Keeping.
