The Golden Palm Hotel & Spa Sylverton Mussoorie(formerly known as Park Plaza)

We were a group of 25 people for Annual Conference. 1. Hotel is 5 mins from taxi stand. Just after the barigade is a left turn which slopes down to the hotel. Hotel has placed a board so nobody misses it. Road needs a lot of improvement. 2. Hotel is termed a boutique hotel and quite rightfully, it is. Exteriors are beautiful and interiors with use of wood is very tasteful. Garden facing the valley is just "the best". You'll get the best view of Dehradun in day and in night. I wish my night shots were as good as the view. Still I'll add them with the review. Kids playing area in front is real added advantage for mothers. Bar-be-que counter was closed, else it would have been awesome. 3. Rooms are okay in terms of space but nicely decorated.. Beds are comfortable but queen size. Bathroom has bath tub. 4. Reception lobby extends into Dining area. Ambiance was great and food was really tasty. Best compliments for chef. 10/10 for that. Best food ever. Not even a single dish to complain for, a very rare thing. I wish their service could have been equally good. We had arrived late hence reached late for lunch. Even when we were having food, waiters started removing the buffet. Least expected behaviour from the hotel of this standard. 5. DJ would have been better if it would have proper floor. Still, every request was played and the DJ (person) was really cool... 6. Conference hall is spacious. Small issue: Conference building is a separate and if no staff is present, there is no intercom to communicate. All in all, it was nice trip. But with these small issues, it could have been better....
