Manumaharani Lodge

We were in a group of around 25 and reached resort in morning by chartered bus. Despite being in a large group front office efficiently helped us check in. Rooms were quite big and comfortable with comfortable third bed. There is large playground for outdoor activities involving bonfire/cocktail/dance in night. Resort is next to the flowing river where we enjoyed bathing sessions too and which could be crossed to reach jungle. Resort also helped us arrange jeep safari into Corbett national park. PS: There are two properties listed on Tripadvisor by name Manu Maharani, I believe both are same.

With group of 16th People We check in at Manu Maharani resort and i am surprised to see that this is kind of 3-4 star resort in corbett as per reviews or site. Rooms :- They give us First category rooms , i think it was luxury rooms , rooms are big but very old. Small size LCD with normal cable connection in compare of room size, Tea/Coffee maker is not available, No Fridge. And i checked other rooms all are same no facility extra. Swimming Pool :- Pool (Normal) is little big but pool bathroom are so dirty, even dirty word are too short for this kind of bathroom , no doors, no lights , flush water are running continuously, no soaps , no towels , wash basin is look like .......... I didn't get the right word. Restaurant :- Restaurant is good spacious & all the waiters, chef & caretakers are ready to serve & in proper dress. Food :- Food are good but in comparison of other Resort, it was average. Service :- Room service is not so good, like if we order the Tea or Coffee they serve without sugar sachet and again going to collect the sachet. ( we noticed three times) Snacks :- Snacks are average. Space :- Gardens are big & maintain. Location :- it's good all mobile are connected & river is good attraction. In the other words my total experience was average. Competition are hard for Manu Maharani with new resorts in Jim Corbett. Being a travel agent if i order water bottle from my room, they came with water jug & give us normal water. This is not fair.

I stayed for three days in the cottage. The food is good . Rooms are spacious and bed linen is clean and changed daily. Though i had few spiders and large ants roaming around in my room. The people are helpful. There is a power backup which is very useful. The pool is clean. the property is large and overlooks the river. Flood had destroyed the swimming pool and riverside restaurant and one can see remanants of that.

The Resort has spacious rooms, nice fruit laden mango trees (in season), and an overall quiet environment. However, we have never had such a bad holiday. We have lived in rooms above bus stands in uttarkhand and have had better experience. During our stay they seemed to be completely into catering to large groups. They have nothing different for the individual guests and we ended up being told to have our ffod inside the room or else join the 100+ school children. For maggi for my 4 yr old, we had to buy from outside and give it to them for preparation. The place was swarming with school kids for one day and with 3-4 in a room it was clearly overcapacity. Similar experince when a new group (this time some corp training) came in and the old group continued till end of teh day having cecked out adn hanging around - 2 times the capacity in a however much spacious place is a bad expereince and I pity the canteen guys having to cater to them. Prices are steep, really steep when you see the quality of food, or the service. We had to literall y track the housekeeping guys requesting them to clean the room. They came in the afternoon saying they have to clean up for the new groups. The pool expereince was unique. The pool is good, but the residents think that it is a place to take a bath. So people jump in their undergarments (girls wear their pajama suits) without showering and then proceed to scrub themselves across body parts. I shudder to think what education these schools are offering, if children are clearly flouting rules posted around the pool. The management is afraid to offend I guess. It is their way of ensuring customer satisfaction of a certain kind. With the help of trip advisor reviewers, I had requested for specific rooms, and therefore it was good. No idea where we would have been stashed othersise. Regarding bookings,another bad one - I had booked more than 6 weeks in advance, and had requested for elephan safari. I was told by Delhi office that vthey are banned and if possible it will be done only on site. Guess what, elephant safari was on and all booked. I guess they were lying because they maynot be getting enough margins there. Instead, after much arguements and a puch from Delhi office, I assume since I had a slanging match with them too, we were accorded a 30 min ride on the streets with jeeps and bus zooming by. We are definitely going to abstain.It is clearly a case of awful management. We are not going back, and will advise many of you to pls ensure that your stay does not clash with large groups.

Hi, if want to visit a good ,spacious resort with big rooms and of course good food this is the place.The staff under the supervision of Mr.Ashish works efficiently and almost every one is accommodative and helpful sometimes out of the way, although last year furious floods wiped riverside pool n restaraunt (by the way every riverside resort in corbett suffered because of the floods) but now they have brand new pool along with restaraunt , Raj77 has given details very rightly,this resort is good for summers ,winters as well as monsoon too? i'm a regular visitor to this resort ,i have seen many resorts in corbett both new n old but ultimately i decide to stay & enjoy in this resort only.Make sure you book early because this is a busy resort.
