East Bourne Resort & Spa

leaving apart the fact that the hotel is located a bit far from the mall, everything else about this place was good. the spa was closed at the time we went there b'coz the guys managing it had gone to Kerala for 3 months.

The resort is located in the outskirts of Simla but they have a pick and drop service from the one of the mall which is very convenient . The rooms are very good with all the amenities and off course very neat. They have a wonderful terrace restaurant with a valley view, a rare in Simla. They have a decent buffet . The food is good. If you driving from Delhi it's advisable to take the bypass via new bus stand to reach there. All in all its a great calm place place to stay in Simla . Almost forgot they have indoor swimming pool which is offcourse is chargeable.

amazing property with beautiful rooms. Staff is very courteous. hotel has flowers all around. Food was excellent. Our room was upgraded to a super deluxe room as a complimentary offer. The view from the hotel was beautiful with pine trees just outside the window. Over all it was a great experience to stay in this resort.

Nice property, good location, decent room , excellent staff. We stayed in the deluxe room , I would say the room was ok, better get rooms with good view, the restaurant location is beautiful. Food is excellent. Cons: door lock was a bit old n broken, bed mattress was in a bad condition.

It isn't worth any stars at all. The road to the hotel is narrow. Often, full of people and incorrectly parked cars..causing traffic jams. To be completely honest with you all, it...it came as a terrible shock after visiting several other wonderful places to stay in and around Shimla. The staff was foolish, incompetent and incapable of handling a situation delicately and sadly, somehow could not understand simple English. They did everything gracelessly and here's what takes the cake: they charge the in-house guests for using the swimming pool? The management is poor and those with responsibility refuse to face problems, making excuses. And why do they have the Spa in their 'prestigious' name..when the spa doesn't even function? And..has no staff? We've stayed in several hotels, right from Crowne Plaza in England to the smaller hotels in Europe and Africa and never have we come across such blatant discourtesy and cheapness as we did today at Eastbourne. The food is overly expensive. The decor is surprisingly...fine. The staff, like I've told you, is pathetic. It was a rather sad, sad evening and to all you seeking lodgings here, you'd wasting time, money and of course, your patience!
