    Tv channels reception not g?od. tariff was high. blanket not covered with white sheet, a std. Practice of good hotels. Side tables dusty. Hard water.

    The lift on the sith floor was wonderful, connecting directly to the mall road. room service was good, food was good, staff was very courteous and helpful.

    Rooms are excellent. Has a good restaurant on the ground floor. Food is good (slightly costly). Hotel and restaurant staff were pleasant in Rooms in 3rd floor or higher and closer to the lift have a good valley view. There is a public park just on the next gate on 6th floor of the hotel. This provides an excellent valley view. Wifi antennas are in 2nd and 4th floor. you need to get username and password from reception. Pain point My father has osteoarthritis. He cannot climb stairs. We booked this hotel because there is lift. However parking to reception there is no lift. You need to climb 15 stairs to reach the reception. The lift works from reception to 6th floor which is connected to mall road. No outside vehicles are allowed on mall road. Required improvements Lift to be connected to parking lot.

    The staff at the reception is not very courteous. Room service is good and staff in room service is courteous.They should have at least the arrangement for the cleaning of car, may be chargeable but service should be there.The staff at the reception is eager to say NO to any service.They dont come to clean the room in all the 3 days we stayed. The answer is it is done only after check out.

    no doubt five star place to live in simla.how can explain?all were so great. services food or location and room cant believe what i got from such a lo price.anyway i wil go again and again as long they keep same.

    Very nice place but to walk mall road is very far you have to walk a lot but parking and rooms are very nice staff is excellent reception staff is somwhat ok ok but still the best option in shimla i stayed here 2 nights

    Hotel landmark is one of the best hotels in Shimla. located right at the entrance of the Tunnel or you may enter from the main mall road. the rooms are all valley facing and one can have excellent views of the valley and the helipad below. the rooms are equipped with all modern amenities and service are good. Food quality of restaurant is good. Landmark is a good place for families with Children. Travelled second time to the same place and was very satisfied.

    I would give 4 out of five. Location is good but still at walking diatance of 300-400m from mall road. Room is ok. Small fridge in the room was too noisy. Breakfast was better than other hotels in Shimla. Lot of options and good taste. Dedicated hotel parking so no issues in bringing own car. Overall recommended place to stay.

    I stayed in this hotel for 3 days with my wife and kid. We stayed in a honeymoon suite (could not get a corner view room hence settled for this). 1. Access (9/10): The hotel is 6+1 storey, with ground floor having reception, bar, restaurant and travel desk. The 6th floor connects to mall road but the main mall road point (e.g. LIC building / ICICI bank junction) is a 200 meters walk (read: climb) from the hotel gate. The ground floor is near victory tunnel which is 2. Room (7/10): The room was nice with decent decor, though average sized. Had a central AC too (uncommon in Shimla hotels). Lacked a drawer below the mirror (the cupboard/almirah is not so convenient for everything, you see). The bed was a round one with curtain around it (since this was a honeymoon suite!). Bed was comfortable but slightly small and might be troublesome for a six-feeter (thankfully not me). 3. Bathroom (6/10): A Jacuzzi (remember this was a honeymoon suite) occupies one half of it, with nice fittings/fixtures. The only issue we found that the bathroom exhaust fan is allowed to work only a certain number of hours a day (2 hrs in morning and 2 hrs in eve) and most staff gave varied answers on the exact timings! This leaves the bathroom smelly for most of the day. Carry your own room freshener or use your deo. 4. Views (9/10): A grilled window stretching across one of the walls gives a very nice view of the valley (and the helipad below). I would say one of the best views in Shimla. Take my word for it. Also, the hotel gate on 6th floor is surrounded on 3 sides by a small civil park that offers awesome views. 5. Service (8/10): Excellent and prompt. Though the staff could do better to wear a smile. 6. Food and rates (8/10): Food rates are kind of premium for a 3-star property. But we found the food to be good most of the times. Only the PBM was a bit bland. Overall a better option as Shimla is not known for having too many good food joints anyway eating at hotel would be sensible if needed. The spread I our complimentary breakfast was good on 1 day and decent on another. Quality/preparation was mostly fine. 7. Maintenance and cleanliness, Room Service (8/10): Better than most 3-star properties. 8. Travel desk (8/10) The guy was helpful, and arranged cabs with a notice of just 30 minutes for our Kufri trip and even for our return trip from Shimla. The rates were competitive as well something that pleased us. 9. Reception (7/10): Had 5 people standing, including supposedly the owner, at the time we reached! 1 minor complaint the staff there should face customers when replying and try to wear a smile. I also found that they were listening more intently to customers who tried to be imposing natural though. 10. Other (5/10): Wifi worked only very occasionally in the room I stayed. Overall---- 75/100 I dont know how many other hotels in Shimla offer good valley view + access to mall road + good service like this one but surely this should be one of the top 10 choices (barring the 5-star properties).
