  • Beautiful, romantic, royal and luxury experience

    Absolutely royal, high class, clean. This is a royal experience and a must have. The houseboats are in the nigeen lake which is a small part of dal lake and is way less crowded and calm. I strongly recommend that you should not book in dal lake but book here in nigeen lake. The food ia good too and you can ask the attendent to prepare what you want. Take a shikara ride here at sunset only and not before that. Loved the experience.

    Houseboat is nice, very well decorated, clean and rooms are also good plus factor with this houseboat is that it has a very nice garden on the backside where you can go for the evening walk. Food was not that great . But you have no option other than having breakfast and dinner over there. Overall we liked our stay there , only issue for us was the food, Since we had too many expectations and it couldn't meet the same.

    We stayed there for a single night on 26th March 2016. It was excellent in terms of view, decoration. But we did not get hot water and electricity at night. Facilities are poor but houseboat is excellent. Foods are average.

    I stayed there in the last week of April. The houseboat is in calm Nageen Lake Which Dont have much Houseboats And shikara. . We have to take shikara to reach there whhiich is arranged by houseboat . The houseboat has excellent view of the snow cap mountains , Akbar fort and Nageen lake. We got the last room which was big enough. They don't have heater/bed heater in the room .The tub bath was non functional. The food was average.They charge much more for our veg lunch.We tried fishing there with the help of owner.The service was good. The shikaras come there or even hotel staff can arrange a shikara which we have to bargain. Overall it was comfortable stay and full marks to view from houseboat .

    I had booked Peacock Houseboat as a gift to my mother. I was glad i took the right decision. Mr.Raahil Ahmed was co operative right from the time of booking enquiry upto our departure. The warmth and hospitality extended is memorable forever in my and my mom's life. She loved the vegetarian food served by Deen our houseboat cook. He was very cordial. Peacock Houseboat was clean and maintained very well. We had no complaints. There was peace and tranquility around and our privacy was respected too. I would like to thank the team of Peacock Houseboats for their full support and warm courtesy. Unforgettable !! My mom was happy at the end of it, i can't thank them enough for this.
