This is an excellent place to stay at Srinagar. Located on the top of the hill. Awesome view of the Dal lake from almost all the rooms. Warm behaviour of all the staffs.... Food, somehow needs to be improved...Overall, good experience...

We stayed in taj just a week back,I found it a super comfortable hotel.this is the place where you can actually relax after a maddening hush hush,in our home town. The view from the room of dal lake is awesome ,the only thing I missed was a good music in balcony,while having a cup of tea. The staff is excellent ,they provide you any thing if not kept in the room. The security off course was little bit irritating but than its for our own safety .the behaviour of security people is so good that you really don't mind going all through this. What they really need to change is their t v Settalite they should provide with individual set top boxes.. In all I would strongly recommend this hotel.

We stayed in the Dal view rooms on the first floor. The room offers unrestricted view of the dal lake and the tree covered mountains. The facilities in the rooms were good and the staff was hospitable. The food is also reasonably priced for the hotel of its repute. The hotel can improve a bit on add-on facilities like DVD library, spa etc and the service in the restaurant can be a bit quicker. Otherwise, I would really recommend this hotel for your stay in Srinagar. Its worth every penny.

Last month I visited this hotel and stayed for 2 nights. Check in : It was smooth. Front desk staff was nice. Room: Housekeeping staff was v good.Room and bathroom neat and clean. Breakfast: It was of nice quality and tasty.Serving staff was nice. In room dinning: it was on time.Tasty and warm food was served. overall it is fantastic hotel of Srinagar

The hotel is located away from the main city on a hill-top and as the name suggests, has a beautiful view of the Dal lake and the city. The property is good, the rooms are nicely done with spacious bathrooms. However, I am a little disappointed to find leaking bathrooms in both the rooms we booked. I found some used cutlery lying around outside my room one night. The staff is pleasant and courteous but the service is extremely slow both in the case of restaurant and housekeeping. The food at Latitude, their restaurant is good and we were delighted when they cooked in low oil on our request. The breakfast buffet was good too. The ambiance is light and refreshing at the hotel. They packed fruits and breakfast for us in the morning for we had an early flight. They also made an eggless cake for my mum's birthday within half an hour's notice on arrival which is greatly appreciated. My only suggestion would be to take better care of the property and to speed up the service.
