Pemayangste monastery
Situated in the west Sikkim, Pemayangste monastery belongs to the Nyigma order of Sikkim. It was originally a small Lhekhang, built by Lhatsun Chenpo in the 17th century. It houses many religious idols and antique objects of worship.
The Palace of the Chogyals
The ruined palace of Chogyals was the royal residence of the erstwhile Chogyal rulers of Sikkim. Pemayangste monastery is located near to the palace form where one can have a beautiful view of the palace.
Hin Shan Gompa
Hin Shan Gompa is a small monastery, which is home to some Bhutanese monks. The monastery affords commanding views of snow draped Mt Kanchenjunga.
