    Bolghatty Palace
    This Dutch palace situated on the Bolghatty Island is used as hotel these days. The island has a fine golf course and is an ideal picnic spot.

    Vasco da Gama was buried in the St. Francis Church. It is the oldest church built by European in India. On his 3rd visit to Kerala, Vasco da Gama, the Portugese trader who reached India from Europe by sea, fell ill and died in Kochi. Later his remains were taken back to Portugal.

    Hill Palace Museum, Thripunithra
    The official residence of the Kochi royal family, Hill Palace was built in 1865 AD consisting of 49 buildings surrounded by 52 acres of terraced land with a Deer Park and facilities for horse riding. The palace museum is open all days except Mondays from 9:00 am to 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Displayed in the 13 galleries include19th century paintings, Murals, sculpture in stone and plaster of Paris, manuscripts, inscriptions, and oil paintings.
