    Nakki Lake
    Surrounded by lush green forests, the picturesque Nakki Lake is an ideal picnic spot in Mount Abu. As per folklore, it was formed by Hindi God, Indra by scratching the ground with his nails and so derives its name Nakki (nail) Lake.

    Dilwara Jain Temples
    Constructed between the 11th to the 13th century AD, the remarkable Dilwara Jain Temples are the major tourist attractions of Mount Abu. Sacred to Jain religion, these marvels in marble are world famous for their intricate architecture and ornate carving done over the marble. The temples stand dignified amidst soothing environs of mango orchards and lush green hills. A soaring wall circumscribed the temple complex. The Vimal Vasahi temple in the complex is worth mentioning as the temple took about 14 years to complete and is dedicated to Adinath, the first Jain tirthankaras. The walls, ceilings, pillars, panels and the interior of the temples are adorned with intricately carved motifs and floral designs. One can also see stunning images of female figures in dancing poses on some of the 48 pillars.

    Guru Shikhar
    Located at a distance of about 15km of Northeast of Mount Abu, Guru Shikhar is the highest peak of the Aravalli range at a height of 5650 ft. On the top of the peak is the temple of Guru Dattatreya, who is believed to be an incarnation of God Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh.

    Government Museum
    The Government Museum of Mount Abu was set up in 1962 with in the sprawling complex of Raj Bhawan. The remarkable collection of the museum includes of art and artifacts and historic objects associated with this region. It also displays finely carved out statues of Devdasi or Nartakis (Dancer) ranging from 6th century AD to 12th century AD picked up from a an ancient township called Chandravati, 7 kms away from Abu. Divided in to two sections, the first section exhibits weapons, musical instruments, ladies ornaments like 'barly', 'damani', 'karna', 'guthma toda', 'gaga wala thoomar', 'kanksi berla, precious jwellery and garments. The second section possesses a wide array of miniature paintings based on raga-raginis, lain images from Sirohi, medium sized shields, a small canon called 'Topdi' and some pieces of carvings on local wood. The museum remains open on all days except Friday and all gazetted holidays.

    Mount Abu is sprinkled with countless viewpoints that offer breathtaking vista of the hill resort. Honeymoon Point (Andra Point) and Sunset Point are the most famous points. Hundred of tourists gather here to watch the amazing sunset views every evening.
