    Agakhan Palace
    A famous tourist attraction in Pune is the Agakhan Palace. The father of the ation Mahtama Gandhi and his wife Kasturba Gandhi along with Mahadeobhai Desai were captivated here in Agakhan Palace in the year 1942 while participating in the Quit India Movement. You can visit the memorials of Kasturba Gabdhi and Mahadeobhai who died here.

    Shaniwar Wada
    Built by Balaji Rao, the grandfather of the last Peshwa, in 1736, Shaniwar Wada Palace is another significant attraction of Pune. Today, only the big outer wall of the Palace is left and the rest of it was burnt down in 1827.
