    Lake Palace
    Lake place is an astounding palace situated on an island midst a picturesque lake Pichola. Also known as Jag Vilas, this beautiful island palace was built by Maharana Jagat Singh II in 1754. All made of marble, the stunningly white palace appears like emerging out the bewitching Pichola Lake.

    City Palace
    The sprawling City Palace is one of the largest royal complexes in Rajasthan. Situated at the embankment of the bewitching Lake Pichola, the palace reflects an amazing blend of Medieval European and Chinese architecture. Built by Maharana Udai Singh of Sisodia Rajput clan, the palace complex has many remarkable monuments, manicured gardens embellished with ornate fountains, well planned and finely executed over the years. The palace complex is approached by a massive gateway known as Hathi Pol, the Elephant gate.

    Jagdish Temple
    Built by Maharana Jagat Singh in 1651A.D, this beautiful temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It took more than 1.5 million rupees to construct this stunning temple. Approached by a long flight of stairs, the temple houses a life sized black stone statue of Lord Vishnu as Lord Jagannath. A massive brass idol of Lord Garuda guards the entrance to the main shrine. The temple is a three storeyed structure and is donned with 50 pillars each in the first and second storey. It is truly an architectural marvel with its intricately carved pillars and ceiling, frescoed walls and lavish halls.

    Gulab Bagh
    Sprawled over an area of 100 acres, the picturesque Rose garden is laid by Maharana Sajjan Singhji in the 18th century. Embellished with exotic rose beds, fruit trees, orchids and countless ornamental plants, the garden houses a zoological park and a library that make the park an ideal picnic spot.

    Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum
    Bhartiya Lok Kala is an Indian Folk arts museum that exhibits the brilliant collection of folk articles of Rajasthan that include dresses ornaments puppets masks dolls folk musical instruments folk deities and paintings. The museum is the major initiative to Bharitya Lok Kala Mandal to preserve and spread the incredible art and crafts of Rajasthan.

    Fateh Sagar Lake
    This artificial lake was dug during the reign of Maharana Jai Singh in the year 1678. Maharaja Fateh Singhji reconstructed the water reservoir after heavy rains destroyed the Fateh Sagar Dam. This pear-shaped lake is encircled by hills and embellished by three small islands, which can be reached by taking a boat ride in the lake.

    Saheliyon ki Bari
    The captivating Saheliyon ki Bari or the "Garden of Maids" was designed and built under the supervision of Maharana Sangram Singh. It was constructed for forty-eight maids who had accompanied the queen as dowry. The park served as a place of frolic and enjoyment for the ladies of the household. Flanked by life size marble sculptures of elephants and lions spurting water into exotic water pools, the park has a many fountains including a rain fountain that creates an illusion of rain dancing in rhythm with dancing maids.

    Sajjan Garh
    Dominating the skyline of Udaipur, the fascinating Sajjan Garh is a monsoon palace lies along the spectacular Fateh Sagar Lake. Built by Maharaja Sajjan Singh in the year 1884, the marbled palace affords a breathtaking view of the verdant landscape. Sajjan Garh Palace was constructed with an objective to keep a check on the progress of the monsoon clouds over the surrounding area (which led to its nickname).

    Pichola Lake
    The tranquil Pichola Lake is surrounded by hills, palaces, temples bathing ghats and embankments. Built by Maharaja Udai Singh, the two beautiful island palaces in the midst of the lake were added by Maharaja Jagjit Singh, now, known as Jag Niwas (popularly known as the Lake Palace) and Jag Mandir that adds to shimmering beauty of the Pichola Lake. A swift boat ride in the clear blue waters of the lake make is good enough to make you feel the splendor of the place.

    Ahar
    The ancient capital of Sisodias, Ahar has plethora of royal cenotaphs of the rulers of Mewar. The place also has a small museum that bears a rare collection of antiquities including earthen pots, iron objects and other art items excavated in the region.
