It is supposed to be the spot where three lamas assembled for the coronation ceremony of the first religious king of Sikkim, Chogyal Phuntsog Namgyal in the year 1642. Located on a hilltop, Dubdi Monastery is hidden with verdant forest. It was established in 1701. One has to travel by foot to reach the monastery.
Tashiding Monastery
Belongs to the Nyingyampa order .Tashiding Monastery lies on the top of a hill against the breathtaking backdrop of the sacred Mount Kanchenjunga. It is known for its the Holy Chorten called 'Thong-Wa-Rang-To' and sacred water festival.
Tendong Hill
This tiny expanse of land, perched at an atlitude of 8,530 ft is surrounded by lush green ancient forest. Legend goes that a Buddhist Lama spent years meditating amidst the peaceful environs of the hill.
Ravangla
Ravanglala, a small town nestles at the foot of misty Menam Hill. It remains the transit point for trekkers to Mernag hill and Borong.
Menam Hill
The verdant Menam hill is situated at an altitude 10,300ft above the Tendong hill. Overlooking the bustling Ravangla bazar settlement, the hill commands an awe-inspiring view of the valley.
