This incredible Golden Triangle tour itinerary comprises the three famous cities of India - Delhi, Agra and Jaipur famed for its grandeur, glory and history.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
A Yatra representative will meet you at a location convenient to you in Delhi and transfer you in an air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel of stay. Check-in at your pre-booked hotel.

In the afternoon, you will be taken on a half-day city tour of Delhi, accompanied by an English-speaking guide. Visit the historical sites of the city such as Qutab Minar, India Gate (War Memorial), a drive past Rashtrapati Bhawan (President’s Estate), Parliament House and Secretariat building. After sightseeing in the city, return to your hotel and spend the night.

Day 2: Delhi – Agra
After a hearty breakfast in the hotel, set out on a half-day tour of Old Delhi which includes visits to Raj Ghat and Shanti Van (cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru respectively), Jama Masjid, and a drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk – a traditional shopping hub.

In the afternoon, drive to Agra about 205 kilometers (approx. 4 hours) from Delhi. On arrival, check-in at a pre-booked hotel. You are at leisure for the rest of the evening to explore around at your pace. Spend the night at your hotel.

Day 3: Agra – Jaipur
After breakfast, take a half-day city tour and visit the world-famous Taj Mahal built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in 1630 to enshrine the mortal remains of his Queen Mumtaz Mahal (Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays). Later, visit Agra Fort and find out from your guide about its fascinating history, see its different apartments and prison cells, and appreciate the magnificent architecture.

In the afternoon, leave for Jaipur visiting Fatehpur Sikri en route. Fatehpur Sikri was built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chishti, Panch Mahal and other palaces. You will travel about 232 kilometers (approx. 5-hour drive) from Agra. On arrival in Jaipur, check-in at a pre-booked hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 4: Jaipur
After breakfast, proceed on a full-day sightseeing tour of Jaipur. Tour the Amber Fort - the capital of the state till 1728. Visit Jagmandir or the Hall of Victory that glitters with thousand mirrors, Jal Mahal and Temples of Kali. Enjoy an elephant ride on your ascent to Amber Fort and behold panoramic views of the city along the way.

In the afternoon, visit the Maharaja’s City Palace and Jantar Mantar, drive past Hawa Mahal or The Palace of Winds and past the rose-pink residential and business quarters of Jaipur. After a day of sightseeing and discovering the different colors of Jaipur, return to your hotel and spend the night.

Day 5: Jaipur - Delhi
After an early breakfast at the hotel, leave for Delhi about 258 kilometers (approx. 5-hour drive) from Jaipur. Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be transferred to a pre-booked hotel for your overnight stay. Spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring around or engaging in a spot of shopping.

Day 6: Departure from Delhi
After breakfast, you will be dropped at the airport or any location in Delhi convenient to you for your onward journey.

Extention Tour to Haridwar & Rishikesh
Day 6: Delhi – Haridwar
Set out on a morning drive to Haridwar in an air-conditioned vehicle, about 205 kilometers from Delhi (approx. 4.5 hours). After arriving in Haridwar, check-in at a pre-booked hotel for your overnight stay. In the afternoon visit the various temples of Haridwar. Spend a few hours at Har-ki-Paudi - one of the most sacred ghats in India, and watch the tiny earthen oil lamps drift down the Ganges in a display of myriad flickering lights. This ghat is believed to be built by king Vikramaditya in 1st century BC in the memory of his brother Bhartrihari who had come to meditate here on the bank of Ganga. There are many legends associated with this ghat.

Later witness ‘aarti’ (prayer ceremony) that takes place at twilight on the holy river Ganges. Aarti is a beautiful ceremony in which a group of priests hold fire bowls in their hands and offer their homage to the river, Lord Shiva, the sun and the universe. The ambience of Hari-ki-Paudi brings upon a sense of clam on you. Return to your hotel in Haridwar and spend the night.

Day 7: Haridwar - Rishikesh - Delhi
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a lovely mountain drive to Rishikesh - also known as the ‘Place of Sages’ – at the confluence of the rivers Chandrabhaga and Ganga. It is the starting point for the Char Dham pilgrimage, and also a place for people who are interested in meditation, yoga and other aspects of Hinduism. In Rishikesh, visit Laxman Jhula - a hanging bridge on the Ganges – an iconic landmark in Rishikesh. According to Indian mythology, Lakshman, the younger brother of Lord Rama of the epic Ramayana crossed the Ganga with the help of a jute rope. Also visit Bharat Mandir - the oldest temple in Rishikesh, near the Triveni Ghat. This temple is dedicated to Bharat, the younger brother of Lord Rama. White water rafting is an optional activity if you wish to add a dash of adventure to your religious tour.

In the afternoon, drive down to Delhi. On arrival you will be dropped at the international airport or any location convenient to you in Delhi for your onward journey
