One of the main attractions of this hill resort is its dry fruits production and the traditional Kashmiri handicrafts. Close to Srinagar is Gulmarg, a place that boasts of having abode Asia’s biggest Golf Course and skiing ground.
Sonmarg
Sonmarg, nestled at 9,000 kms. above sea level, is one of the smallest resorts in Kashmir. The resort lies in the heart of a gorgeous valley carved by the river Sindh.. Better known as "Golden meadow", this place is a wonderland for tourists. The resort features densly populated slopes and varieties of alpine flowers.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Delhi
Upon arrival at Delhi Airport,Our representative will assist you and escort you to your hotel. Relax at your hotel.
Day 2: Delhi
After breakfast, proceed on a guided city tour of old Delhi which includes magnificent Red Fort and Jama Masjid (largest mosque in Asia) built by Mughal Emporer Shahjahan.Visit all the famous monuments of Delhi such as India Gate,Humayun'sTomb Raj Ghat and attend the evening arti at Laxmi Narayan temple( if time permitted). Enjoy a delicious dinner and drive back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Srinagar
Morning after breakfast,proceed to the airport and board your flight to Srinagar-The capital city of Jammu and Kashmir.Upon arrival you will be transferred to the house boats. Refresh yourself and get ready for a sightseeing tour to the major attraction of Srinagar such as Mughal Gardens, Chashmi-e Shahi (The Royal Spring), Nishat (The Garden of pleasure) & Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love). Overnight stay at the houseboat.
Day 4: Srinagar – Sonmarg (80 kms)
After breakfast, Drive for a day excursion to Sonmarg- The Golden Meadow. Take a walk down the country side or enjoy a pony ride. In Evening drive back to Srinagar. Overnight stay at the houseboat.
Day 5: Sonmarg – Baltal – Sonmarg – Srinagar
Early morning, Drive to Baltal which is at a 45 minutes drive from Srinagar. Get ready for an adrenaline soaring ride to Amar Nath Cave by Helicopter.Later drive back to Srinagar via Baltal.In evening you are free to explore the city on your own. After an entire day of fun ,Dinner and overnight stay at the houseboats.
Day 6: Srinagar – Delhi
After a delicious breakfast, you will be transferred to Srinagar Airport by car. Board a flight to Delhi where your thrilling journey comes to an end.
