24 kms upstream on the banks of the Ganga is the holy town of Rishikesh which is a combination of five different districts- Rishikesh, Muni-ki-reti, Shivananda Nagar to the north, Lakshmanjhula with its holy shrines and Swarg Ashram. Rishikesh is the place where the Beatles met Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and began their mission for spiritual deliverance. Rishikesh as a holy shrine witnesses innumerable tourists from across the world.
Haridwar
One of the renowned Hindu pilgrim sites on the banks of the sacred river Ganga. A bustling town replete with thronged markets, myriad of temples, ashrams, Haridwar is a town of pilgrims.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Delhi
Upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport,Delhi/Railway Station, you will meet our representative who will assist you and escort you to your hotel.
Day 2: Delhi
After breakfast, proceed on a guided city tour of old Delhi which includes magnificent Red Fort and Jama Masjid (largest mosque in Asia) built by Mughal Emporer Shahjahan.Visit all famous monuments of Delhi such as India Gate,Humayun's Tomb,Raj Ghat and attend the evening arti at Laxmi Narayan temple(if time permitted).Enjoy a delicious dinner and drive back to hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Delhi - Rishikesh ( 6 Hrs – 225 Kms )
Early Morning after Breakfast,Check out and proceed to Rishikesh, a famous pilgrimage center that dots at the banks of river Ganga.The main attraction of this sacred place is Lakshman Jhula,which is a suspended iron bridge connecting either banks of the river Ganges,Triveni Ghats at Rishikesh is considered as one of the most sacred ghats in India.Check in at hotel and enjoy rest of the day on your own.Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 4: Rishikesh- Haridwar
After Breakfast, Delve in to the local markets and feel the pulse the city. In evening you can attend the Ganga Arti at Paramarth Niketan Ashram loacated near Ram jhoola. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Haridwar
After breakfast, proceed to Haridwar and check in to the hotel. Haridwar is one of the ancient towns in India. According to a legend,when the ocean was being churned, the nectar of immortality fell at this sacred place. In evening, attend the grand Arti of Goddess Ganga at Hari ki Pauri. Overnight stay at the hotel
Day 6: Haridwar – Delhi
Early morning after breakfast, proceed to Delhi Airport/ Railway Station where your memorable tour comes to an end.
