Christiansø-Christiansø is a 17th-century island fortress, preserved beautifully. It's an hour's sail north-east of Bornholm. Christiansø is connected to Frederiksø, its sister island, by a footbridge. Built in 1684, Christiansø's Great Tower, Store Tårn is an imposing structure with a 25 metre diameter. The tower's century-old lighthouse offers a splendid 360 degree view of the island.

Copenhagen-Copenhagen has been Denmark's capital for 600 years. It's a tempting city comprised of block after block of period six-storey buildings.

Legoland-Legoland is a 10-hectare theme park built from plastic Lego blocks.

Trelleborg-Trelleborg is the best preserved of the four Viking ring fortresses in Denmark. Visitors enjoy the small museum and bucolic countryside as much as the circular earthen mound which is wonderfully intact.
