Air Sahara is a domestic airline based at New Delhi, India. The privately owned airlines runs routine services tying all the metropolis of India. The airlines also offers helicopter services on charter basis. Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi being the main base the airlies also has hubs at Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai, Begumpet Airport, Hyderabad, Chennai International Airport, Chennai and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata.Sahara airlines forms a part of the much-acclaimed Sahara India Pariwar. The airlines links over 24 domestic cities and 4 international destinations with over 134 daily flights.

The Air Sahara fleet comprise of the aircrafts as follows;

• 1 Boeing 767-300
• 8 Boeing 737-700
• 3 Boeing 737-800 (further 10 on order, deliveries are scheduled to begin in mid 2009 and the last in 2010)
• 5 Boeing 737-400
• 3 Boeing 737-300
• 3 Bombardier CRJ-200ER
• 4 Bombardier CRJ-200LR Total - 27

The airlines also drive Helicopters on non-scheduled routes.

• 3 Ecureuil Helicopter
• 1 Dauphin Helicopter

Air Sahara was awarded with the Pacific Asia Travel Association Gold Award in 2003 at Bali, Indonesia at the 52nd PATA Annual Conference. The airlines won the honor for its Sixer initiative. Air Sahara was also honored with the Largest Web Merchant of Indiatimes for the year 2003.

Recently Air Sahara extended its services to a few overseas destinations including Colombo, Singapore, Chicago and Katmandu. However, the airlines would also further its services to London and Malayasia shortly.
