With the introduction of Jet Airways Indian aviation scenario has got a major makeover. The jet airways started its operation on May 1993 and since then it has become a major power to reckon with in the aviation segment of India. Since inception the jet airways has been working tremendously to gain significant market share and gain the mass popularity. Jet airways is a key player when it comes to providing premier service and care to its escalating number of customers.

With many accomplishments to its credit, Jet Airways has been up to setting newer standards for itself and posting more and more milestones. Besides catering to the needs of several domestic destinations the airways also mitigates the demands of a few international destinations like Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Singapore, Katmandu, Colombo and Heathrow in London. However, it has plans to tie destinations in North America and Europe. So far, Jet airway has served 73 million customers since its inception until May 2007. For the excellence in performance and services offered, Jet Airways has bagged many awards including the best "Programme of the year", which was won by its Frequent Flyer Program.

The airways possesses the youngest fleet in the world. The airlines owns 67 aircraft including 6 Boeing 777-300 ERs aircraft, 50 classic and next generation Boeing 737-400/700/800/900 aircraft, 4 Airbus A330-200 aircraft and seven modern ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft. By 2008, Jet airlines plans to expand its fleet size to 79 aircrafts and the frequency of its flights.

Jet Airways ties more than forty-four destinations throughout the country namely, Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Kolkata. Jet also runs routine flights to all key sectors like New Delhi to Bangalore, Mumbai to Bangalore, New Delhi to Mumbai, Bangalore to New Delhi, Mumbai to Goa, and Delhi to Goa.
