Tourist Attractions in Kenya Masai Mara National Reserve: Nestled amidst the Great African Rift Valley, Masai Mara is one of the finest park and game reserves in India. The Park is spread over an area of 1,500 sq km, mostly comprising of open rolling savannah grasslands. Masai Mara is home to millions of wild beasts, gazelles and zebras and over 450 species of birds, including migratory birds. Other important species found in the Park include Cheetah, Jackals, Impalas, and Hyenas. Tvaso National Park: Stretching over an area of 21,000 sq km, Tvaso National Park is the largest national park in Kenya. It is known worldwide for its dramatic landscape and rich and diverse flora and fauna. Lake Turkana: Formerly known as Lake Rudolf, Lake Turkana lies in the Rift Valley in the northwestern part of Kenya. This shimmering lake is approximately 240 km long and 40 km wide, with an average depth of about 35 m. |
