Tourist Attractions in Nepal Gosainkunda: This beautiful lake is situated at an altitude of about 4,360 m. Gosainkunda is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites for both Hindus and Buddhist devotees. Surrounded by snow-clad mountains the northern and eastern sides, the lake offers many interesting treks to adventure lovers. Other famous lakes of Nepal include Saraswati, Bhiarv, Ganesh Kund and Sourya. Pashupatinath Temple: Located on the shore of the Bhagmati River, Pashupatinath is the most sacred temple of Lord Shiva in Nepal. The temple is known for its magnificent architecture and its existence dated back to 400 AD. Palanchowk Bhagawati: Palanchowk Bhagawati Temple stands on the top of a hill, about 7-km north of the mountain of Panchkhal. The temple houses a three feet long beautiful stone idol of goddess Bhagawati. Pokhra Valley:ASituated at an altitude of 827m, Pokhra Valley is one of the major tourist spots in Nepal. The magnificent valley offers breathtaking views of Dhualagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, and Annapurna peaks. |
