Jai Vilas Palace
Constructed in 1809, Jai Vilas Palace is the current residence of royal Scindia family. Lt. Col. Sir Michael Filose designed the Italianate structure of the palace combining the Tuscan and Corinthian architectural modes. It was completed with in the time span of three years. About 35 of the rooms of Jai Vilas Palace have been converted into the Scindia Museum.
Bhimbetaka Caves
Situated in the south of the capital city, Bhopal, Bhimbetaka caves house one of the oldest prehistoric paintings of the world. These caves belong to Neolithic age. Covered by lush green forests of Teak and Sal, these 1000 shelter caves have been recognized as the world heritage sites by UNESCO.
