GSRTC - Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation is a state-owned corporation which provides bus services both within Gujarat and also its neighbouring states. The corporation has a fleet of 7467 buses with a workforce of 40,000. Established on May 1st, 1960, GSRTC now has 16 divisions, 125 depots, 226 bus stations, 1554 pick up stands and 7467 buses. It is also the first one in the country to introduce GPS/PIS based GSRTC bus tracking and passenger information monitoring. The GSRTC buses travel 28 lakh kilometre with 40000 trips catering approximately 24 lakh passengers on a daily basis. The corporation provides offline, online and mobile phone GSRTC ticket booking facility for the greater convenience of passengers.
