● Super Deluxe Air Bus:
These are non-AC 2+2 push back buses with streaks of the tri-colour on the sides and have a facility for charging mobile phones and laptops.
These are long distance limited stop deluxe buses usually travel at night to reach the destination by the morning. They are red and white in colour and are 41 seaters 2+2 reclining seats
● Sabari Air Bus:
They are a special service bus for pilgrims for Sabarimala season that were introduced in 2016. The buses feature a forest theme to spread awareness about the need to protect Periyar Reserve Forest.
● Super Express Air Bus:
Green and yellow coloured buses with a paint job inspired by "Chundan Vallam". The features of these buses are of the same of deluxe airbus, but the fare charge is lower.
● Super Fast Passenger (SFP):
These buses are non-AC service buses with 3+2 seating layout and run intercity in long routes. They are red and yellow in colour and touted to be a faster alternative to the predominant FPS.
Translated as a messenger in Malayalam, Sandeshavahini features a mix of blue and green colour which denotes to water. They carry messages about water conservation, misuses and ways to combat drought.
● Fast Passenger (FP):
They are non-AC buses with 3+2 seating that runs on intercity routes.
● Limited Stop Fast Passenger (LSFP):
Operating as a Fast Passenger bus that only stops at super fast stops
● Rajadhani/ Point to Point:
These are non-stop FP service with a colourful livery and operated in Thiruvananthapuram, Calicut and Wayanad districts.
The most basic service of Kerala RTC are coloured in red and yellow with 3+2 and 2+2 seat layout.
● Town to Town:
TT services operate with far fewer stops and ordinary fares are charged.
● Ananthapuri Fast/ City Fast:
They are the city fast buses operating in Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam district. They are white and blue in colour and have a slightly higher fare.
● Limited Stop Ordinary:
They are the same as ordinary buses with a lesser number of stops.
● Malabar/ Venad/Thiru Kochi:
They are much modern private sector buses with a limited number of stops.
● AC Low Floor Bus:
An air-conditioned low floor buses in city and intercity routes.
● Non AC Low Floor/Semi Low Floor Bus:
A non-air-conditioned buses in small routes.
● Double Decker Buses:
Double-decker bus service usually operated in Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam districts at an ordinary fare.
● Articulated Buses:
An Ashok Leyland Vestibule (BS III 123 kW) bus operated in Thiruvananthapuram district with ordinary charges.
