Air India Web Check-in Check-in Now

Save Time at the Airport by Using Air India Web Check-in Service

The national flag carrier, Air India (AI) is among the largest jetliners in the country. According to reports, it has a market share of over 16 per cent, and carries travellers to about five continents. The airline takes pride in providing affordable and pleasing services to its customers. Ever since the Air India web check-in service came out, it has proved to be of great convenience for flyers. Now they do not have to stand in long queues at the airport, all that's needed here is just a few clicks online, and that takes care of all the check-in formalities.

About the Service

Air India online check-in facility is for flyers with a confirmed booking. Now, they do not have to reach the airport 3 or 4 hours prior to the flight and go through the elaborate formalities. They can easily use the service from their home, as they get ready for their journey. This facility can be availed between 48 to 2 hours before the flight departure, and the only things required here are a laptop and a printer. You can go to the official website of the carrier and enter the required information. While people flying on domestic routes can directly get their hands on the Air India boarding pass by using this service, passengers travelling overseas are issued a confirmation slip. By presenting this confirmation slip at the airport counter, you can easily receive your boarding pass and head to the aircraft.

It should be noted that flyers with special service requirements, including pregnant women, unaccompanied minors and senior citizens, cannot make use of this facility. You also need to have a confirmed Air India booking to get your boarding pass or confirmation slip.

Perhaps the biggest advantage of this service is that you do not have to wait in queues at the Air India check-in counter. You can head directly to the baggage drop area, and proceed to board the flight. The facility also allows flyers to select their preferred seat and meal.
