Another alternative is to take the state-owned bus; you could even book a private air-conditioned Volvo bus that departs from the airport and travels to all important parts of the city. Some of your choices are VS1 that connects the airport with the main Kolkata, VS2 connects the airport with Howrah Railway Station, and V1 kicks off from the airport and heads to Tollygunge in south Kolkata. Volvo buses can come at around INR 100 per person, while the state-run buses are substantially cheaper at INR 20 for a ticket. But this depends on the route, the distance covered and the category of the fleet. You could even explore the train option to get out of the Kolkata airport. The station, a hub for the Kolkata metro, offers plenty of regular departures to the city centre. The trains out of the Kolkata airport connect to the city’s two major railway stations, the Sealdah Railway Station 18 kilometre away, and Howrah Railway Station about 16 kilometre away.

      1. Original time of the flight was 8:00 am which was advanced to 6:35 am. This created lot of struggle , airlines should understand that advancing the time early morning causes real problem in Bangalore where the airport is 50 KM outside the city. 2. Baggage claim took a long time at Kolkata. The first bag came on the conveyer belt at least after 30 minutes of waiting. Jet should be more proactive to look into these issues.

It is better I feel that you collect specific requirements of food for passengers or at least have an option to select passenger's preference and provide it in the flight. I was observing that some passengers' are asking for some food types which were not there and the hostess tell 'not available'. Anyway I know 100% of requirements hard to meet but around 90% could be met.
