Delhi to Bangalore Flight Booking

The Delhi and Bangalore airports are two of the busiest air transport hubs in India. Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi has a annual passengers handling capacity of about 40 million, with an expansion aimed at making it capable of handling about 100 million passengers. The Bangalore airport has a capacity to handle approximately 15 million passengers in a year. These airports not only serve the population of their respective cities, but also that of significant tourist and business destinations nearby. More than 40 daily Delhi to Bangalore flights or more than 260 weekly flights transport people from the national capital to the IT hub of India.

Details of Delhi to Bangalore Air Services
Almost all of this traffic comprises direct New Delhi to Bangalore flights, which take about 2 hours 30 minutes to cover a flight distance of around 1745 km. All domestic airlines, including low-cost and full-service carriers operate on this route.

The earliest flight of the day is operated by SpiceJet that leaves New Delhi at 12:05 am whereas the latest one, of IndiGo, departs at about 10:15 pm. Jet Airways, Air India, Vistara, AirAsia India and GoAir also fly on this route, daily. The availability of flights late at night allows passengers to avoid the peak-hour rush. These facilitate business travellers to return on the same day after attending their meeting. Passengers should carefully check the departure terminal because depending on the carrier, this route is flown from terminals T1D and T3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport. While IndiGo flies entirely out of Terminal T1D, SpiceJet and GoAir also operate some flights from this terminal.

Budget carriers, such as IndiGo, SpiceJet, Go Air and AirAsia India, provide the lowest fare, but operate only Economy Class. These do not offer any entertainment or serve free meals on board. On the contrary, legacy carriers like Vistara, Jet Airways and Air India have at least two classes of travel, and their tickets are generally priced higher than those of the budget carriers. The reason for the elevated cost is that these airlines offer entertainment and serve free meals during most flights.

If passengers are travelling on connecting flights, operated by the same carriers on the same PNR, then the through check-in facility for baggage is provided by the airline. This enables people to check-in their luggage only once, and take it from the final destination without having to check it in again at the stopover location. However, passengers must ask the airline about this at the time of making the reservation.

Connecting flights generally have stopovers in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Goa and Hyderabad. These connections enable passengers, boarding Delhi-Bangalore flights, to travel from these cities to Bangalore as well. However, the time taken by these flights could vary from 4 hours to 19 hours. Passengers are therefore requested to take due note of the stopover time before booking their ticket.

      It was the worst flight i took ever! It was scheduled at 8:30 pm; but rescheduled for 9:25pm.Still, the flight took off at 10pm only! I had a flybus to catch from Bangalore to Mysore;but i missed that. The Seats were so uncomfortable and space was too less.       GoAir can at least train their cabin crew to speak in proper English. They themselves do not know what they are announcing in-flight. We are messengers and not "customers". The bay wasn't ready when the flight landed. Great, isn't it?

      It was good experience with Go Air and convenience really we felt. More time we were standing at gate no. 9 which was not needed. The announcement might have been done and immediately passengers must have been permitted to board into bus to reach to aircraft.

      Actually, by this flight my mother had travelled alone. As she had problem in joints, I had chosen for wheel chair assistance. I have to wait for more than 15 min on the counter at New Delhi but the boy had not come up with wheel chair. The boy is only concerned about his tip, even though he does not possesses the valid card to go up to the flight. Even at Bangalore airport the boy does not want to wait with mother.

      Spice jet should get its act together to ensure on time departures. Our flight was supposed to take off at 8:20pm. It finally took off at 12 midnight. We kept on receiving messages to reach the airport 120 minutes before the departure time however their first message for delay reached only at 6:45pm after we had reached the airport. Staff at the airport were clueless and finally they weren't to be seen until the gates were reopened.

      I got harsh from spice jet due to late boarding because my previous flight air India was delayed. Spice Jet counter refused to give my boarding pass. He misbehaved me and after lot of request he gave my boarding pass, after getting boarding boarding the flight spice jet was dealyed more than 20 minutes. But here the spice jet counter guy said now it is late for you though till 40 minutes time of exact departure flight was there. Then again flight delayed another 20 minutes. we request you that please inform them to cooperate with passengers.

      I never had such a worst experience in any of my past trips. The flight was delayed for almost three hours. there were not a single soul in the ground to give proper information about the approximate expected departure of the flight even. I lost my connection from Bangalore to my final destination. Finally forced to travel in a taxi to reach my place. Really wonder how this company is able to get some business. This is my first experience with Spice jet. Praying God not to give me a second chance with this company. Pathetic service!. Never recommend this service to others.

      They could have done something on time. Air traffic congestion delay before boarding , which is not at all beleivable. An extra half an hour before takeoff and an extra half an hour at baggage claim. To add insult to injury, the cabin crew was rude to a certain extent. Its as though i asked for water from the fountain of youth the way they behaved when i asked for water. This is the single most worst experience I have had. I have had better experience with air India when it was shitty.

      Flight was delayed from the original time of 6:25pm to the final time of 9:30pm. The airport staff as well as spicejet staff, failed to help clarify any queries. Around 8pm many passengers including myself asked at the gate if our flight had even landed at the airport.. We stood there till 9 since the staff had no answer for us. How do you expect staff to assist us customers when they know nothing themselves? Most often heard from the staff was, "just 2 minutes and we'll start the boarding process." This was said to us after every half hour. Had they been clear as to why the flight was getting delayed further and further, and installed a better system to make their announcements, I'm sure the passengers would have still held their own.

      Please try to improve the on ground facilities for the customers. It takes hell lot of time to take the boarding pass once you are inside the airport.       Reached airport @ 8 pm for 8.50 flight on 21 april Had to pay extra 600 to get the seat because I had been told that I am late. Although when reached gate 13 the boarding was not even started. Had to wait extra 50 minutes for the flight to take off. Reached blore 25 minutes and to add more misery I had to pay few extra bucks for the cab to wait at airport. Overall not a good experience.

      Aged and infirm travellers need guidance and assistance when travelling on their own. From the point of reaching the airport to disembarking the aircraft aged travellers need special attention which was found lacking in the present flight. There was no assistance offered at the point of issuing boarding passes if they would require seating preferences, nor were they offered help to place their luggage on the belt. They were not guided as to if they had sufficient weight allowance to place any baggage instead of carrying hand baggage. I would request the airlines and the airport and concerned authorities to sensitise their staff to the needs of aged and infirm travellers. Thank you

      Spiceject cancelled my Sunday evening flight on Friday and offered me a 6am flight for sunday. This was ridiculous, because if I could fly out on Sunday morning then why would I book an evening flight. The only other option was refund. I had booked this flight 12 days back and paid 4900. The flight costs of other airlines by the time Spicejet had cancelled the flight on Friday had increased by 40%. Who would bear this extra 40%? Spicejet said they cannot do anything about it. So I have to bear 40% more cost for no fault of mine, for holding a confirmed ticket of this airline, which it cancelled as it pleases. As regards, the options being offered, these were not real options-how can you offer a flight that taks off 10 hours earlier as an option? Why was I not offered other operators operating at around the same time, at no additional cost to me? Or in short, why was this flight cancelled for no proper reason after issuing confirmed tickets-just saying operational reasons should not let the airline of the hook. If I were to cancell my ticket am I not penalised? Why should the airline get away scott free?

Actually the departure time was 9.55 pm but delayed it regularly that 11.15..12.00..12.40..finally we reached destination. ...4 hours...late. same thing happened in return flight that on 14/12/14. Flight no 223 has delayed 4 hours. Due to this delay I supposed to change/cancell 4 flights which was pre scheduled which I had Rs. 1.1 lac loss. Certainly it's going to defame your name in market. No proper response. .from any of their staff and customer care..They don't even answer the cal...and I tried calling then 18 times. Please don't put any customers in trouble or loss because of your small commission amount.. and people trust you not airlines. Note..I never choose Spicejet in future and I am going to share around 450 passengers very bad experience with Spicejet on 12/12/14 and 14/12/14 with all my friends and public in social media. Thank you

      The waiting time in the bus while boarding the flight was too long . The flight was rescheduled by 2 hours , which was not highlighted while booking the ticket, as soon i booked the ticket , I received an email that flight has been re-scheduled.

      All things were excellent except warmth of cabin crew.... Actually i was tired n i dont needed the same but for ur improvement i m commenting ... Like welcome by crew on entry ...       The lady on the counter for check in baggage collection was busy talking to the one sitting adjacent to her.. I had requested her for a window seat but she forgot it because she was busy chit chatting with her friend. Moreover later when I asked her why she didn't allot a window seat to me, she bluntly told me that it was a paid seat worth Rs 1000 extra( don't know why she couldn't tell this to me initially). Moving further, the SpiceJet flight departure was late by 45 minutes. Never going to travel by SpiceJet again. I have travelled a lot many times in flights, but this was the most disappointing experience.

      When the airlines boasts about being on-time, they need to be consistent and make sure that they don't delay the flight by 2.5 hours and also need to ensure that they don't further delay the baggage in the arrived airport. This was the most horrible experience I had with SpiceJet and I will certainly not recommend this airline to any of my friends or family.

      Few points for your consideration; a) The seat covers and safety belts really require a wash now. b) Better maintenance of wash rooms in the craft, ensure hand wash liquid is available. On personal account; as it was a late evening flight, I had placed my order for meals in advance. Good thing that the Food was really hot, but quantity wise it doest justify the price you are charging, I don't have big appetite but quantity would not satisfy even a small child ( I can compare the quantity served in morning flight of GO Air, I was good enough to call it a breakfast, In fact, I couldn't consume the whole stuff.). Look forward for better experience in future.
