Mumbai to Delhi Flight Booking

The Mumbai to Delhi flight route, about 1150 km of aerial distance, connects the two major megalopolis of India. With more than 60 flights per day or 400 weekly flights, this is one of the busiest aviation routes of the country. All major domestic carriers, such as Air India, Jet Airways, IndiGo, SpiceJet, Go Air and Vistara operate direct and connecting Mumbai to Delhi flights. While Air India, Jet Airways and Vistara are full-service carriers offering more than one cabin class along with meals and entertainment to passengers, IndiGo, SpiceJet and GoAir are budget carriers offering only economy class travel without free meals.

Details of Mumbai to Delhi Air Services
Passengers can catch the first flight of the day on IndiGo at as early as 2 am in the morning and, after that there is a flight every 30 minutes on an average. The last flight of the day, also operated by IndiGo is at 11:15 pm, which is available on all days of the week. However, the peak time of Mumbai to New Delhi flights is from 6 am to 11 am in the morning and 5 pm to 10 pm in the evening when about 50 per cent of the total daily flights are operated. Good frequency of flights for all time slots of a day and all days of the week ensure that high demand is met with the matching supply of flights on this busy route. Early morning and late night flights enable passengers to attend an important event in the city and return the same day, and also to avoid peak time rush. This would also help them in saving a good amount as return flights are cheaper than one-way service.

Generally, the duration of direct co nnection is 2 hours 10 minutes. Besides the direct connections, passengers also have the choice of taking via flights on Air India, Vistara, Jet Airways, IndiGo and Spicejet with Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Indore, Bhopal, Hyderabad, Jabalpur and other cities as stopovers. These flights are generally longer with time duration of 3-4 hours to reach the national capital.

Connectivity to Nearby Cities of Delhi
In the wake of growing air traffic, new terminals were built at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai and Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. Flights are operated by carriers from different terminals. Therefore, it is important for passengers to know the terminal from which their flights would be operating. Domestic flights of Air India and its subsidiaries, and Vistara operate from T2 terminal whereas those of IndiGo, Jet Airways, SpiceJet and GoAir operate from Terminal 1B.       There are TOO MANY pre recorded in flight announcements and they are loud and very jarring when one is trying to sleep. Since it is a late evening flight which reaches Delhi at 11.15 PM this aspect is not appreciated at all. It greatly reduces the inflight experience.

      Ask The air hostess to wear Clean Demo Jacket. It was dirty when she was giving safety instructions. The person at the entrance cahrged a sum of Rs.50 for prining the ticket. why dont you tell in sms or email to bring print outs of ticket othewise it would be charged. The cost of All items in flight is very High but the quality is same as on ground. Pls reduce the price of in flight Menu. You Plane was very neat and clean. Staff was helpful.

      The flight was delayed by more than one hour but there was no one to give correct information or cause of delay. Firstly the passengers were told to check in at A7 terminal than all the passengers were told to go to A11 terminal. Then again they moved the passengers to A10.Hardly 25 passengers checked in then again we were told to move to A11.       Not happy at all. Flight was delayed by almost an hour, left Mumbai around 10 pm. Cabin crew could only serve meals for about 10 minutes since there was some turbulence afterward! Although I felt they could have served food later. I did not get a chance to buy any food. It was overall not a good experience for me.

      the flight was really late, and the on-ground staff unresponsive and absent. Being late is unavoidable in some circumstances but the least officials can do, is to be near the boarding spot and explain to customers the reason and an honest evaluation of how much time more will it take. On board, when the flight is more than an hour late, customers plans of food etc., get awry. Many airlines abroad (even low cost) would give a food coupon to compensate. If this is too much to ask, atleast stock up more sandwiches than usual that customers can buy. It is safe to assume that they will be hungry, and more people than usual would buy food to eat. I had to go hungry for three hours since they ran out of sandwiches very early. A horrible experience on-ground and off-ground.

If flight is again further delayed....some one should be at the boarding gate area..not done in this case, here an Idiot male staff arrived just 8 minutes prior to boarding time. 3.Flight is further delayed.....but no information and no apology......The flight suppose to take off at 1815.. was resheduled to 1850 but boarding started at 1850 and flight took off at 1940.....Again No Apology... I dont care approach by go Airlines...4. No Soft drinks... no Juices to buy for... only water available...Better dont put your menus on the magazine... just sell what u have got in your trolley....

      The GoAir arrangements were excellent. The only minor difficulty I had was not knowing the layout of the airport in Mumbai. I went to the lower level and had to spend some time going around to the upper level. It would have caused a problem if I were short of time, but that had nothing to do with the airline.

      I got a scratch card that i wanted to redeem for sunglasses, I asked two attendants on two seperate occassions to sell me the sunglasses, The first one told me to wait until they start selling the items, when they did, i was just passed because they just passed our seats quickly. I couldn't believe this. A few min later i put the light on and the second one came and told me that they have packed away all items and they cannot help me. I told her that i asked for this twice already before they started selling but he was reluctant to help me. She instead called another attended who helped me. I should not go through this process to get a good service even though i eventually got the sunglasses.

      Its was horrible experience. I will never fly by Go Air and will spread to others not to fly by Go Air. I was in the Airport at 48 min before the departure of my flight. Going inside security person consume some time because of earlier passenger. Then i was in the Que for checking in. The concerned person took more than 5 minutes and was doing work leisurely. When my turn come she just thrown my ticket back saying now counter is closed 45 min before departure. I beg to explain entire thing. but nothing was heard. She simply say u get modify your ticket. I ran outside counter with a hope that i will get other ticket of that day. Nothing. U treat the customers like this. Just to get more money u lose more money. I will not forget this experience in my life. Not only i there were three other passengers of the same flight. I am sure they could have easily taken us to the plane as it was ample time of 40 minutes. They must fly with empty seats but not taken us. U many times depart the flights 1 hr to 2 hr late and shamelessly that time dont return out money but usurp our hard earned money if we are on time but coudnt reach your counter 2 minute late.       1. Queue management at 1A needs serious improvement. Took me half an hour to get my boarding pass. 2. Security checkin gates also need to be increased to avoid bottlenecks. 3. Go Air flight seat offered to me (7B) was low on leg space and I felt cramped and uncomfortable.

      I got my luggage very late and one of the female cre in go airways misbehave with me as I kept my laptop bag under the front seat as per the rules but she blamed me that I am hiding my laptop bag,,,what is crap she is my laptop bag is heavy and i need some urgent things continuously from the bag so that I kept under front seat as per the airlines rules and announcement from the pilot. But she took my bag forcefully from me and kept above in the rack. Even the juice were supplied by go airways was of expiry date. They are totally crap and manner less people.       There was total chaos at the time of check in. There must be over 200 people waiting in line to check in. It appeared there was inadequate staff for handling multiple morning flights from Mumbai airport. Similar chaos was not seen by me on my return journey from Delhi to Mumbai on 21st Aug nighr. But at the same time, it goes to the credit of the ground staff to manage successfully such over crowding and ensure that flight departed in time. More than the ground staff, the management need to take note to post more people at the rush hour.

      It was scheduled to arrive at delhi at 11.45 while it reached at 12.30. Because of this I missed my train from new Delhi railway station and I had to wait more for another conveyance and spent more on it.As well as in the waiting lobby only few cell charger sockets were there and all those were at a distance from sitting arrangement while few of them were not working. Nobody wants to leave cell phone alone or have to take an eye on it frequently which is irritating.I hope you guys will work on it too.Thanks and regardsAnkur sinha

      Although the earlier flight (7:15pm) was delayed till 8:00 pm even then they don't allowed me to board the flight as I reported late at the counter. i.e. around 7:00pm. And then when I requested to move to the next flight to Delhi (i.e. 8:25pm which again is delayed and took off after 9:30pm). For that as well I was forced to wait around an hour in the queue of the goAir counter at mumbai airport. Reason is that even though they have multiple counters but have only one guy to serve all the passengers queries (whether it is on call or on counter). Finally my overall experience was poor. Thanks once again to allow me to put my experience which might help me in my future.

      The fact that checked in baggage was not allowed for this category, was not very clearly known to us at the time of booking the ticket. It was only after we got the tickets, we came to know that the return flight of spicejet does not allow any free checked in baggage. This was not feasible, as while going, it was allowed, how do someone expect a flier to take the baggage and come back without the same. Not expectable.

      Cabin person took extra 2000 rs to get the food in flight and baggage preference and leg space. I told not to give me that but she was insisting me so I took it. Later in the air plane cabin crew told that food is finish and you have to take another breverages like bhej and others. We took one meal where taste was pathetic. Cabin crew asked me to charge extra for tea which would be included in the package. Overall it was a pathetic experience for me.

      i was late by 2min. for checkin time but on request it was not provided the boarding pass. Even it was not informed that by giving small amount I can move in the next flight. Even it was not informed that spicejet person required to sign to come out so that i can buy other ticket. I purchased ticket from indigo counter for delhi and payed Rs.9000 and there i got information that i could re-accommodate after giving nominal amount.       The body language of the air hostess was not upto the mark. I find them aggressive their approach. The pilot did not give the customers talk which is normally given. For some period there was a turbulence in the air but captain did not reach out to the passengers. The touch down of the aircraft was not smooth. Overall impression of the Spicejet was not good.       On our recent trip with my family , on receiving our baggage at the arrival airport , we were dismayed to see our suitcase damaged. On complaining the matter to the ground staff present there, left us with no solution. All that was done is a complaint accepted in their register and a promise to provide a feedback in 24 hrs time, It has past 48 hrs now as i write this mail but to no call nor any email received from the Airline. Though we have utilized Spicejet in the past this recent experience has changed our view towards them.

      Extremely disappointed with this time's experience with spicejet... They cancelled the direct flight I chose to fly, so i had to shift to stopover flight. I pre-booked my meal online, they cancelled that too. What's more, I was traveling with my child, so had to face a lot of problems...we literally starved for more than 4 hours. The messaged conveyed in-flight for luggage pick up was changed last minute. Not mentioning smaller issues like cleanliness, etc. Overall it was a worst experience...seems they are really struggling with their operations.

      It is boring if you dont have stuffs to enjoy in the flight. Atleast audio availibility with ear phone should be there. It is very hard to pass time. Nowadays, people have electronic items but if the same is available at ease would be an addon.

      Don't ever choose this air line for travel. Such a verse flight I have ever boarded. My flight was delayed and then cancelled and even no communication from airline. Again I'll say please don't choose this flight. Very poor customer service.

      My overall experience with the flight was excellent. In fact, my scheduled flight was cancelled by the airlines. In such a crucial situation, the Yatra team was very helpful in rescheduling the flight for me. The Yatra team promptly understood the issue and did the needful for me. I would like to thank Yatra for beautiful customer service and support.

      Flight landed before time. The only thing I was not happy about was that my flight number & timing changed & I wasnt given a chance to change my booking. I booked this specific flight because it was scheduled to depart Mumbai at 9 am & Spicejet changed their time table (& my flight number) and departed at 7:30 am. Had I known this at the time of booking, I would have chosen a later flight.

      The samosa was so cold I could feel the congealed fat in it and it was totally un-edible. Also cabin crew did not help with my bag which was very high up and I had to climb on seat to remove bag, only then they came to my assistance. If all crew only cater to business class customers, then what happens to economy class people who need help? Please improve this aspect of the flight experience.

      Special thanks to Mr Rohit who was a member of the cabin crew. He was very helpful and had a smile for every passenger. The biggest drawback was the 2 hour delay in this flight.

      3 hours late first time in my life I saw this much delay and now they have sent me 1000 rs money back which i can't use it. I don't fly frequently, spicejet if you change them into cash plz do,,and I had cancelled my tickets I am still waiting for my money no msg from hdfc saying that I got my money back.

      Flight was cancelled. Ground staff was unable to make alternate arrangements. Had to go by Jet and no meal was served on flight of Jet. Spicejet should have arranged for food on flight. I was read to pay but Jet was not informed to carry extra snacks. Very poor show. I am today also travelling via spicejet flight SG458 from Del to Mumbai Seat Number 5F lets see if you can compansate me ? and if this feed back yoou guys take is really worth while and quick then I will be treated better today.

      I was travelling with my old Mother and 2 kids. We had an early flight at 5:55AM. We reached early by 4:45 am. I tried to check-in witht he person at Web Check-in line but he refused even though he was idle. The other lady was very rude. Even though we were international travellers she gave us hard time for 10 kgs weight in carry-ons. We took the flight from Delhi to Mumbai thru same carrier with same luggage without issues. It was 5:30 AM already and we thought we will miss the flight, when a guy on cruches asked her to release us. We had to rush to make it for the flight with old Mom and small kids in tow. This experience brings bad taste

      The flight was delayed by 1hour, and SPICEJET authorities automatically credited Rs. 500/- in the form of a credit voucher, as per their policy. This gesture is highly appreciated

      The flight was delay for over 4 hours, but no one informed the actual delay . in the beginning we were told that flight was 45 minutes late , then we were told the fligh is 1 hour late like that we were totally kept in dark. had we were told in the begining about delay of 4 hrs we would have planed accordingly and leave home accordingly. There was no body to help us neither we were given any refreshment at the airport nor inside the flight. we werer also made to sit inside the flight for 1.30 hours with no specific information about the departure time finally flight took off at 12 58, small kids were kept hungry for hpurs for no fault of us . Atleast some refreshment would have been served to the pax

      Couple of points 1. I checked-in quite early for my flight and asked the lady for a window seat upfront, however she told me that the flight is full. But there were lot of empty seats in the plane. 2. I am surprised that even though Spicejet is a new Airlines the seats in the plane are quite worn out and dirty. 3. The "cold drinks" served on the plane are not cold and its difficult to drink from a can without a sipper.
