Cleanliness 4/10 Staff 5/10 Location 10/10 If you just want location and cheapness stay here. There's no atmosphere on the rooftop, me and friend where the only ones to use it. The shower didn't work for 2/3 days we were there (we had to fill buckets). We didn't get offered breakfast once, so don't assume you'll get this breakfast. The room and bin wasn't changed throughout our stay. Location great, staff mediocre, cleanliness minimal. Depends what your after, backpacker panda is over the road I've stayed in several of these I'd recommend going there. Also eat at bamboo cafe opposite and avoid good vibes restaurant they're overpriced.

We stayed here for 3 nights to see the Taj Mahal and Agra fort. And from the get go it was horrendous. We couldn't check into our room on time because it wasn't ready, and after a long train journey all we wanted to do was get a shower. We had to sit on these uncomfortable chairs for 2 hours in the smallest reception while staff seemed to sit around doing nothing, apart from one young boy who was doing everything. We didn't have running water for 2 days of our 4 days so couldn't shower flush the toilet wash our hands or face. For the majority of our trip there was no one at reception or any where to be seen to ask questions to. The decor was appalling, the walls were cracking and falling apart in our room. The rooftop terrace was literally a roof top with 2 tables and chairs. So there was no where to chill apart from your room. They didn't empty our bins the whole time so it was overflowing with dirty tissues. The wifi was barely working the whole time, we actually got better wifi from the bar next door from our rooms. And we were the only people in the hostel so there was no atmosphere at all. There are plenty of hostels on this road which look much better and are full of travellers, stay in one of those instead! Only plus side was a good aircon in the room...

The rooms are small, dingy, and unclean. The beds are uncomfortable, and blankets are dirty. The man who runs the place is not nice at all. The attitude of the staff is bad. The decor is ugly. The place was initially called Suryam Palace, but has only been partially converted. The hotel is nasty, would not recommend.

The hostel itself is average, however i was given a bed with the ac next to my head & the receptionist laughed when I told him that its dangerous for me being asthmatic. The first evening was very hostile, we was leaving the hostel & 3 staff member tried to force us into eating in the restaurant but we politely said no, then they turned stern faced and didn't acknowledge us for the rest of the evening. The morning after was fine, we had a great breakfast (omelette & toast or partha along with chia) but not sooner had we ate waiter was asking if we will eat lunch and dinner there, so we said maybe. Then we went to the taj and after returning they came to our room asking if we want lunch, so I abruptly said no, then for the rest of the night no staff member would look at us, they would even speak to us, I asked how much a taxi is to the train station and the guy in reception shrugged his shoulders and walked off. Then on the morning of check out, they breakfast was just omelette or dry toast whist black tea, probably revenge because we didn't eat in their restaurant. Terrible service, there is 20 or so hostels on the same road, pay alittle extra, book somewhere else. dont be sold by their free breakfast.
