We stayed only for few hours, from approx 2.00 AM to 8.00 AM but room was clean, bathroom was also fine. Geyser was there for hot water but either not working or very slow working, we couldn't get the hot water in time. Guests who stay there please bear in mind that you will not get the breakfast etc there, There is no service in Hotel. We got only tea (which was too costly comparing to the quality (Rs 20 a Cup). We also faced the mosquitoes, even though the mosquito coil was there, which we didn't prefer because we have has little kid with us and that was too without match box to light the coil. Despite all these,, overall experience was fine and may be considered value for Money.

Fair price, nice rooms, good location and kind staff
by Guy L on July 3, 2017
This hotel offers nice rooms for a fair price. I would say that this hotel is a good place for backpackers and budget travelers, as the friendly ambiance reminded me of a hostel. They are active in Instagram where you can see pictures of many travelers. The owner, Siddhartha, is helpful and very kind - he and his staff will help you with anything you need. They warned us against some of the usual scamming happening in the city, such as telling us how much we should pay for a rickshaw, this kind of interesting information sometimes hard to learn from locals. We did not have a chance to try the food at the hotel but it seemed nice and reasonably priced. More importantly, Taj Mahal and Agra Fort are reachable by a walkable distance from the hotel. If you are in shape, you still can walk up to Baby Taj, which is around 4 km one-way. Going to Sikandra will however require you to hire a rickshaw - we were able to find one for Rs 150 from Agra Fort (round trip to Sikandra) but you should normally pay around Rs 180-200 from there. I do not recommend to hire a rickshaw near the hotel as they look at you like you are their prey or something in this way, and they will find a way to rip you off whether you want it or not. You will find a lot of streetfood near the hotel. We once had a delicious chinese noodles plate full of vegetables and even sausage for Rs 20 (on Minto road). You will also find a lot of roasted potatoes which are also good. We would definitely stay again at this hotel if we would come back in Agra. I think the location is ideal and the price is good for the quality and ambiance of the place. I liked that the staff was friendly and very honest. Now, here is some information for backpackers and other budget travelers staying at this hotel. If you get to Agra by bus, you might arrive at Idgah bus station (or nearby hotel Sheetal). If you are not lazy, you can walk towards east to Safari Hotel, it is a 4-5 km walk (1 hour), follow bike lanes on Mall Road until you reach Minto Road. The railway station is also near Idgah so you would have a walk a similar distance from there. If you leave Agra by bus (which could occur if you do not plan a long time ahead, because trains are always sold out), please be aware that all long distance rides are leaving from ISBT station near Sikandra, so it is not near and you will depend on some kind of transportation in order to get there. There are some local busses, but it seems like nobody really use them and you might end up hiring a rickshaw. As I said earlier, do not hire those around the hotel as they will rip you off. They will keep telling you that ISBT is 20 km away while it is truly maybe 8-10 km away. Theyll ask for Rs 200 and more, but this ride is worth around Rs 100-120. They might tell you they can bring you to a nearby bus station from where you can take a bus to Delhi for around Rs 300 never trust this kind of stuff as they get commission on this kind of thing and private bus are often that really reliable or leading to bad customer experience. Always use the local state transporation (which is RSRTC in this case). Maybe it would be better to walk up to Agra Fort or nearby and hire a rickshaw from there. The less they know about you, the better it is. Do not tell them which city you want to go, just tell me you have to get to ISBT. About RSRTC busses, you wont find any information on ordinary bus departures online, only luxury busses that require booking. For an ordinary (and most cheap) RSRTC, you do not need to book anything. Just get to ISBT in the morning and take whatever bus you need to take, there are many departures daily (example prices: New Delhi - Rs 265; Haridwar - 375, Rishikesh - 402). I hope that you will enjoy your stay at Safaris as much as we did and do not hesitate to ask Siddhartha for help of all kind. You wont be disappointed! :)

All rooms are positioned off of the main street, making them fairly quiet rooms.
by Dane E on February 27, 2017
Try and choose a room on the third floor, non-street facing.
