This place has a great location, just around the corner is the Taj Mahal- this was very handy when we woke up to get there for sunrise! The rooftop restaurant is not to be missed, it has a brilliant view of the Taj Mahal and super food! Staff were friendly, rooms were nice and basic, just what we needed for a quick stop in Agra!

Ive done a lot of travelling and I can say that this is the worst place I have ever stayed. We left after just one night here because I had absolutely no sleep. Initially when checking in, the person on reception directed all questions to my boyfriend and wouldnt really talk to me despite me having all the booking details. Then he literally opened the door to our room and walked off. No have a good stay or any form of politeness. The room was horrendous. The wall is made of cardboard or something to that effect. The windows didnt lock and there were no curtains so we had absolutely no privacy. There were constant building works going on in the hotel. The door barely locked so our valuables were not safe at any point! There were no sheets on the bed apart from a bottom sheet. There was a thick blanket. Fat lot of good that would do in 40 degree heat. Also no air con just a fan which made the room hotter than it was outside. When we checked out, the person on reception offered us an AC room so its clear that other people have found issues with this hotel and have checked out early. Never again!!!!

The room was basic but clean and everything worked fine. The restaurant with its rooftop-terrace and the perfect view of the Taj Mahal are unique and the food really delicious! Very friendly and always helpful staff, thanks again Boby for the nice talk and the Chai!

I've taken some time to think about my review. The first time I wrote it as a rough draft I was angry and going off on a rant. It's been a week since we've been there and now that I'm calmer, I can kindly say please just be aware that the staff and management know they have a bed bug infestation and still rent out rooms without warning. Yes, there is a great view of the Taj Mahal but we stayed in 2 different rooms and found bed bugs in each. This means they will bite you, they can travel in your bags and the rooms are really dirty. That is the truth and I really try to never write a bad review because I work in a hotel too as a manager and I know it's not their fault for having a bug problem. Travelers come in and out and bring them from different places. However, they are treating the problem. We saw them taking the mattresses out and cleaning them but bed bugs live in furniture too, it's tough to get rid of. The worst part was that they wanted to charge for the room anyway for 2 nights when we were there a total of 2 hours by the time we saw the bed bugs and HAD to change hotels at midnight in Agra. I have photos of the bed bugs and threatened to write a review, so they gave us money back for just 1 night and still charged for 1 night, when again we only stayed 2 hours. It was a miserable experience after a long 8 hour bus ride from Jaipur to Agra and to see that the staff knew about the problem and bribed us with our money back so that we don't say anything...is unbelievable and is putting travelers in danger. Bites, throwing away your clothes and bags is no fun, I've had to do it before. Also, the fact that we are spreading the problem to other places is horrible. Please reconsider staying here just because of the nice view. Sorry to the hotel and thank you to the future travelers coming to Agra for reading and respecting this review, I wrote it for YOU!

Great Time Staying At The Saniya Hotel In Agra. Beautiful View Of The Taj Mahal From The Roof Top Restaurant. Really Enjoyed My Stay. Good Service From The Staff. All You Have To Do Is Ask. Thank You So Much Of The Fine View Of The Taj. You Can Not Find It Any Where's Else.
